In the last game he played with Havertz he slid a ball in front of goal that Havertz should have toed in and he was a second late getting there. He also delivered one to Timo that went sailing. On the other end of it Pulisic was a second late getting a toe on a ball that should have went into net. It has been shambolic all the way around lately on finishing.

Hmm. Don't those remember opportunities being clear cut.

Win this or face a situation where the Champions League final puts everything on the line this season. I mean, top 4 alone with no trophies is still considered disappointing in my book, but it'll still be nice to enter the final knowing that at least we've reached the bare minimum in the league.

Can the real Christian Pulisic please stand up?

Surprised no one has really talked about him. Apart from the recent Real Madrid games, he hasn't scored or assisted since the Crystal Palace game, which was more than a month ago, and he has been very, very quiet in recent games.

I've noticed that too.

Especially in the last game.

Is it just a case of PL vs European competition?

He looked like he wasn't that interested in having or keeping the ball like he usually does when on song.

Anyway, just hope it isn't because of him getting disillusioned from the lack of starts.

Felt he should have started the FA cup final. Ziyech on the other hand has a record against City, it seems.

It's absolute nonsense if a player is choosing which competition to turn up for.

Getting disillusioned from the lack of starts? Since the last international break, Pulisic has started 9 of the 14 games in all competitions, including 3 of the last 4 games and playing a total of 815 minutes. Out of our attackers, only Mount (12 starts; 1,075 minutes) and Werner (10 starts; 829 minutes) have had more starts and played more minutes in the same period.

Atleast he is the kind of player who is able to suddenly explode (like last summer) and doesn´t need a run of games in order to get going like Hazard used to back in the day. That might be some hope for the CL final that the real Pulisic turns up.

Would be nicer if our attackers can be more consistent!

Well, apparently he doesn't quite agree, based on his comments after coming on as a sub against Madrid in the second leg.

I too think he has got fairly enough minutes, especially considering that he is an injury risk, but at the same time feel he wants to be the player to start the big games and not just be a useful squad option.

I would still start Ziyech against City, so maybe Pulisic could have started the FA cup final just to keep things even.

I saw his post-Madrid comments back then and thought they were over-dramatic.

The funny thing then is after he said what he said, he went and put in a run of average games, where he had little to no impact whatsoever.

Not sure Ziyech justifies a start in the CL final at this point.

Mount will start. Werner likely too. It's between Havertz and Pulisic for the third spot.

Why would anyone want to start Ziyech? He is absolute horsehit apart from very few lucky goals.

He's been pretty effective against City to be honest.

He rode his luck scoring 2 important goals vs them but overall his performances in the city games, in all his recent games were quite poor. I don't hink we can count on lightning striking three times here.
