Of all players, some want to blame Mikel for the loss? He wasn't great - no one was - but he was still one of our better players until the game went nuts.

Stop moaning, there where only two people who had a bash at Mikel there where about 6 that praised his performance. Again with the 'likes' seeking.

Hey ho, so what we lost.

Mikel was very good with his useless 5 yard passes. Check this picture of his first half passes.

See how he can never hurt the opposition with his passes.

Dude, sometimes you've just got to tip your hat to a decent performance.

He didn't hurt the opposition (although his defensive work did), but he linked up play well. The problem was Mata not doing anything with possession in the first half.

He could score a hattrick and you would still look for negatives. It is one thing disliking a player for the team but then keep criticizing him just for the sake of it gets ridiculous.

Yeah like he has been scoring hattricks and that is what we expect from him.

Do you honestly see one pass there in that first half display of his that Everton would be worried about?

First try and understand the game, then maybe start posting your opinions about who was good and who was not.

Even if he was to score 10 goals, make a last ditch tackle ,end up stopping a potential world war 3 and remove his shirt to reveal the words " RAFA YOU FAT WANKER'' , we would still apparently want to sell him.

Stop it, all you've been doing is baiting for arguments, first thing you did in the match thread was pull the 'oh if mikel did this we would still hate him' just stop with the bull shit it's getting irritating.

let's have him score his first goal for Chelsea first... :) Or perhaps produce his first assist for chelsea... see the problem here? And you are talking about a hattrick...

Maybe you should understand the game more and stop posting your usual sarcastic bullshit and realise others around him should have contributed more.

It's the bitter truth . Oh I'm the one baiting for an argument . *clap clap*. You're more than welcome to block me if you find me irritating while others don't .

Huh? I'd agree with you if there actually was an argument for the contrary, but if even a single person blames Mikel for the loss then they didn't watch the match or are just stupid.

Can somebody please put up that chart that shows where he stands still on the pitch again and passes slowly sideways/backwards keeping possession,as opposed to the stats that actually show how many games we win and lose when he plays?

Brilliant at what he does today, agree .

Since Mikel's return from African's Nations Cup, he has started 9 games for us. We have won 3, drawn 2 and lost 4 of them.

In the 14 games during this period when Mikel did not start, we have won 12, drawn 1 and lost 1. The one we drew, he played as a sub for 38 minutes and the one we lost, he came on after 60 minutes when we were leading 2-1 and ended up losing 3-2.
