Popular Post! The only place to be 11,313 Posted September 22, 2013 Popular Post! Share Posted September 22, 2013 This goal might give him a bit of confidence.Only goal keepers should have 0 goals after the games Mikel has played, I know it's not his priority but it's the english league with the english media with the english fans, we apply the pressure, and most of the time it's unfair. Now no one can say Mikel hasn't scored a Premier League goal, if you ask me good for him. I was really happy when he scored, it shows that he isn't as useless as some of us thought he was.One goal lets not get ahead of ourselves though, but I heard he put in a good performance and that's good to hear, Mikels problem has been consistency, if he can keep it up then I'll be happy with it. I have been mad at Mikel for years for not taking his place in the team, it's gotten to the point where I've lost all hope for him and want him out of the side, if he can prove me wrong this season then I'll be happy, and I mean that.Exactly. He deserves credit for putting in better performances recently, but he has to keep it up. Actually felt his performance against Everton was much better than yesterday but he stepped up and it was encouraging to see. This is the thing about people like you and I who have criticised him - we didn't do it because we needed a scapegoat or just for fun. We did it because he wasn't playing well (in our opinions), but when he does put in a good performance then we're quite ready to give him the credit he deserves. And I'll be honest - it felt good to sing his name yesterday. I hope this is the start of a new era for him, but he needs to kick on. GodZola, Shaan, Kojo and 3 others

GodZola 630
Ramires & Mikel were both fortunate that Bent didn't take his chance otherwise both would of been slated & the end result could of been different, however no more than a workmanlike performance. Congrats to Mikel for finally hitting the onion bag, scored at the right time, took the pressure off at exactly the right time. I was just speaking to Ivanović about it and hopefully he’s my good luck for scoring goals.and then people wonder why José is The Special One.Life achievement: Got Mikel to score not one, but three goals.José wins in life.can the next be Torres? Spyker 27
that and how everyone else was to blame for their goalyeah like lamps going for a cup off tea in the middle of the match and the three ams dnt do much movement and get blind or something whenever mikel gets the ball... ChelseasMessiah 304
I didn't think he was that bad to be honest. It's just that covering for Lampard against a Spurs side playing at home and firing in all cylinders in that first half was a tad overwhelming for him. Specially as Mourinho decided to concentrate our defensive cover on the flanks with Ramires out wide, which meant they explored the space behind our 3 attacking midfielders. Korea 734
I think dropping Mikel and adding Rambo in the center was the main reason the game changed. xPetrCechx
