Time to seriously introspect. Why was the team unable to create any kind of clear chance? I can think of the Mount one early on and that's it.

This team fails to penetrate a team set up to defend. Same story vs West Ham Aston Villa Crystal Palace Newcastle

Which is why it is always baffling how the team started another home game in such a slow tempo. No urgency to move the ball. No urgency to create openings. Rudiger and Zouma think they are Pirlo all of a sudden and try to pull off ridiculous long balls. The performance last night was Sarriball all over again

I know he's still young and just came back from a long term injury months ago but after taking the club on a ride with his contract situation, I think it's fair to expect him to do a little more than what he has been doing of late. Can't be relying solely on smaller cup games to get the form up, because we don't have those every week!

He hasn't been given a run though. Pulisic and Willian have been playing week in and out.

We were fine against Villa, Palace and Newcastle. We totally bossed the latter two teams, created chances and it was more of a case of being patient. Similar to Villa, it was a 2-1 thrashing especially in the second half. Just didn't convert enough chances.

Yesterday's performance was more in line with West Ham and Everton games. Barely created enough opportunities, never mind not playing well.

True but on the other hand, Pulisic forced his way into the XI by making an impact as a sub. CHO hasn't done that. How can he give confidence to the manager, fans etc and say 'I deserve to start' if he doesn't put in the performances even as a sub? Moreover, we're in a bad run at the moment and we have not much room, if at all, to be giving the likes of CHO to find form (although there are quite a few out of form right now).

That's true. Would not write CHO off just yet though. We can revisit this in a couple of months

With 4 games in like 10 days coming up, CHO will get his opportunities but he definitely needs to up his game.

Whereas I agree that we need to strengthen massively in January, especially in defence. But realistically we need a solid defensive midfielder who can bully and harass opposing midfielders, and a striker. Tammy is good, but not great. We need a proven striker who can, on his own at times, dig us out when we really need him to. If the team isn't playing well, then Tammy is average. My problem is this. With all the talk of buying in January, who would want to come that would improve the side, and at what cost. We all know that once teams know we are interested in their players the price will inflate massively. And in today's market 150 million(if that's what we do get to spend) is not going to bring in the quality players we need. A central defender = 60-80 million. A striker= another 80 million, and a defensive midfielder around 50 million. That's 210 million. I don't think that in the current climate that Roman will be that generous

I have just finished watching the game, I don't think we played that bad. 1st half, it was so easy. We can get the ball between the line, Rudiger and zouma diagonal ball was excellent

I don't like kova for willian , it mean kante is playing the highest midfield. Maybe against a very good team, but not against bournemouth. I want to see CHO come in for Mount and let puli play between the line.

I was in Leeds and keeping an eye on the score and knew the longer it went exactly what was going to happen.

The fact he dropped Kovacic he deserves everything he gets Frank, what a fucking joke.

pound is surging versus the euro

Striker (Werner RC is only £25m, Håland RC only £16.7m)

DMF Thomas Partey (Atletico Madrid) is an absolute steal at a RC of only £41.7m, he has been AM's best player so far this year, or close to it

LB (as Chilwell is not going to be sold in January) Alex Telles (who is playing all world atm) RC is only £33.3m, cover most of it by selling Alonso to Inter for around £25m

WC CB/Zouma replacement  (NOT Ake, he is not WC and he is injured atm as well)  the only one we would have a shot at in January is Romagnoli, you are correct on your cost there I wager he will cost £75m to £85m (90m euros to 101m euros)

CB AC upgrade Ake £40m sell Zouma in summer to cover it

Winger Sancho is not coning here, shitty (who hold a right of first refusal and now starting to get involved (they will block Manure I think) so I unfortunately think we are going to end up with Zaha, and hopefully can work out a player plus cash deal where we only drop £40m to £50m MAX

and finally, also, in the summer, buy Chillwell and sell Emerson to Juve, That should be around £50-55m net spend

total net cash spend for all 7 (all cannot be done in January unfortunately)

£232m to £257m

which is certainly within our next two window budget and massively upgrades the team, and still leaves over £200m plus in net transfer fee profits from all the sales over the past multiple windows on a rolling spreadsheet basis once all the dregs are sold off

If we need Kovacic to beat an out of form, injury hit team and at home, then we're more fucked than we thought.

He is our only creative guy against Defensive sides.
We used to have this Problem back then pre Cesc era. You need to create Chances and only Kova can do that for us.

We have won games without him before and while Kovacic has been good, he is no Messi/Ronaldo-esque player. If we can't find a way to make things work when somebody like him doesn't play, then like I said, we're more fucked than we thought.

Nothing new to me. When Hazard in past years could not perform, we looked clueless most of the time and could not create many Chances. Having Cesc helped back then. Whenever Cesc was in a bad form, no creativity.

This season, Barcelona looks clueless when Messi is injured or has a average game.

Also Bayern without Lewa looks average.
