Sancho pursuit is still on....although I can relate with the club due to the transfer price he will command but we can't just end his signing him just like that because we have stack of cash to spend and army of other players to sell...

Love this transfer if we still get sancho

Hate him if we bought him instead of sancho

Why does Ziyech get the hate when he's not the one who made the decision to be brought to Chelsea? :carlo:

Reminds me a lot of the marko marin deal, where we had champions league uncertainty hence we bought him early but we ended up winning the champions league and bought in hazard...be bye marin

Was thinking the same yesterday but you could argue that Ziyech has more pedigree than Marin back in 2012 and if you believe the reports, Lampard already wanted him last month but couldn't get him because Ajax didn't want to sell. So, this doesn't feel like a backup signing at all.

Sure, we have a lot of players to sell but people need to realize that we're not living in the world of Football Manager or FIFA. We aren't just going to sell everyone in one go because that's not just possible. Otherwise, they wouldn't still be in the club's books after all this time.

We have money to spend but it's not bottomless and in case people have forgotten, we still gotta buy at least a ST, a LB and potentially a new GK. That's going to cost a lot of money. It might be great to get Sancho but it would be mismanagement if we were to bomb a large of sum of our resources on him and then having to scrape the barrels with whatever that's left for the other positions. If we do get Ziyech, Sancho then feels like a luxury signing all of a sudden. If we do get Ziyech, the priority should then be turned to securing a ST and LB.

We are so still going for Sancho

obviously no guarantees we get him, but a miss on him is devastating

Ziyech will shuffle between AMF and winger

which means we still only have 2 full wingers

Pulisic and CHO

signing Ziyech means 2 things for me

Willian is GONE

woooooot wooot

and we are probably not going to make a move for Maddison, or the more likely before this, Grealish, grrrrr

although

and here people are going to go bonkers

I would not lose my mind if we sold Mount and bought Grealish

AMF Grealish

AMF RLC <<< we do not even know if he will ever fully recover BTW, in which case, if we did sell mount, we absolutely need two options, which means Ziyesch here

LW Pulisic

LW CHO

RW Sancho

RW Ziyech << also an AMF option

I do not expect that to happen though

I think Grealish is off our board now

sorta unhappy

as I would much rather have Grealish, and Boga, and Sancho

i assume if we disastrously miss out on Sancho, we roll with Boga

if the two wingers we bring in are Boga and Ziyech and that's it, plus at that point we also do not even make a move for Grealish or Maddison

they are going to be some raging people here

now add in a very likely missing out on Werner

and Shitty grabbing Chilwell and then the board goes into shutdown mode and does NOTHING at LB

the raging will go OFF THE CHARTS

especially if we also miss out on Dembele and end up with some speculative dice roll at CF

which if that also occurred, with all else listed happening as well, puts us in real danger of having a really shit overall window, a potentially horrific one, if Ziyech bombs out

i have so little faith in the board, i could see all of that rot actually going down

Giving up on a young player who at 20-21 had 10 goal involvements in the Premier League so far haven’t we learned our lesson yet.

Hey folks, first time poster.  So go easy on Me :P

From the little info I have, Ziyech has very much been driven by Frank Lampard.  Which is interesting because according to many the Head Coach doesn't have any say in who comes & who goes.

Sancho will definitely not be moving to Chelsea in the Summer and unlikely ever because the financials are astronomical and far greater than is being bandied about in the media.

The costs are far too great for most Clubs including Chelsea who operate from revenue generated in house and not Roman's Deep Pockets.  Which has actually been the case for well over a decade now.
