Sarri But Not Sarri Thread

yes, it could be that Sarri wants to go.  I have no doubt he loves it here and loves the premier league.  But he is being offered more money and a return to his native homeland with the champions. It's a factor.  And the Napoli stuff is irrelevant, he has said so himself.  "Whatever happens it wont change how i feel about Napoli"

Thinking from his perspective, it's a once in a lifetime opportunity to be clear favourites in all domestic competitions, be a force in Europe AND work with Ronaldo. The man will be guaranteed more trophies in a well run club in his home country. Here? You are not guaranteed anything, your players disobey you, fans abuse you, the board is shambles, not allowed to make signings while best player is leaving... Shit he'd be mad NOT to want it.

I wouldn't buy that Pep rumour, unless he himself desperately asking to leave, I could see City boards will do anything to make him stay. And until now I have not heard or seen any single sign from Pep indicating he wants to leave either. More like journos assume that he has won everthing in England, and Allegri sacked at the same time, so in their logic Pep would be tempted to go to Juventus. That's pretty weak and baseless logic to begin with. Even if its true that Pep is their first target, that doesn't  suddenly make it smooth either. There still a lot of factors that could prevent that happening.

At the moment, I believe Sarri to Juventus more likely to happen, than Pep to Juventus from what I read though. And agree, it would be mad if he reject Juventus now. Unless Hazard suddenly change his mind and commited to die for him, lol.

Still doesn't make any sense. Less than 24 hours ago Sarri said he deserved to stay with us and gave reasons why he likes the premier league. Now reports are saying his head is turned?

Mind boggling.

Deserving to stay doesn't mean wanting to stay

Pedulla “Fali Ramadani left London after a non-stop meeting with Chelsea. Blues are ready to free Maurizio Sarri for Juve. Ramadani gave positive signs to Juve, soon more updates”.

Interesting why chelsea is so "free" to let him go...

I hope their translation of "free" means compensation...

It would be ironic though the first time Chelsea could make money off a manager leaving and we let him go for free!

Considering our board are fucked up, it wouldn't be a surprise...

He is more than likey gone. Seems the Club is more than happy to let him go, is it beacuse of fans discontent? doubt it. It also means we have a replacement in house, or at least I hope so. Allegry with either JT or Lamps as assitant wouldnt be bad at all imo. Lets see what happens the next few days.

Bit scary that we might actually replace Sarri with Laurent Blanc...

Allegri?

We've just endured a year of progressive football, and you want us to go back to pragmatic football? There is a reason City is lightyears ahead of us. They have a clear identity and vision, they aren't jumping from one philosophy to the next. Going back to square one season after season.

I'd rather Lampard or Jardim. At least they can take over what Sarri started.

This is a major clustfvck if indeed sarri leaves... the only reason I'd be OK with it is if sarri wants out himself.

However if Lamps comes in, galvanizes our super talented academy graduates and re-instills the chelsea mentality of our golden 2004-2012 years into the club and Cech ends up being an astute operator in his role, this could end up being a sort of blessing in disguise.

The only worry I see is that Lamps would have to start out his managerial career by not signing any players for the first two windows <_<

You think city would be light years ahead if we had Conte like his first season or the first 2 seasons with JM's second return? You make sound like it has to be like city or we cant cut it. Watch season review of 14-15 and 16-17 and see how splendid we were in attacking sense.....while being super solid all over. City has pep with immense cash, Sarri wouldnt compete with that in any case. You can sompete if you have the right manager and tactics and some backing, play to your strenghts. Doesnt have to be progressive at all costs. At the end of the day its style vs style......I think we ourselves are good example it can be done. We have always been about fast direct footy. If someone find that boring or old school then what can I say my friend. I call it winning footy, poweful and with intent.

Allegri coming is very possible though, considering he is free and I think he will suit us well. He is good manager and in some aspects I think he is better than Sarri. Would prefer Sarri to stay, as the foundation has been built here, but I would be happy with this scenario, rather than signing Lampard or Terry. Too risky.

Signing Allegri now will reminds me about Carlo signing back then.
