He just came off an extremely serious injury that 15 years ago could have ended a player's career. I'm going to reserve judgement. Same with Ruben when he returns. We have to take it slow with both of them. We all know they are very talented players

Yeah I think CHO might need until the second half of this season to get into around 80% of the old CHO again. Then next season we can hopefully see him blow into a great player.

Ruben will probably need the next pre-season.

Thats hardly an excuse he played right wing almost every game he played under Sarri.
Hes just maybe not done as well as he did last season but even then Pulisic and Willian are playing well so thats another reason why he isnt featuring from the beginning and rightfully so. Where as last season the wingers didnt play so well which is why people were desperate to see him start every week. Other than his Europa League performances in the PL last season he didnt exactly set the world alight either. 

He did not play that well as a right winger there either. He had a top pre season with a good game against Man City and then he had some good performances in EL. In PL, he was average when he played as a right winger. He is a very one dimensional Player as a right winger because he can't use his dribbling style he likes.

Pulisic had one good game against Ajax as a sub and then his goal show in PL. Against United, he was horrible and he did not get any criticism for that.
Willian for me is bang average. When he does not score, he offers only his defensive work rate. Today, he was useless in the offensive point of view.

It's peculiar that people don't mention Newcastle. Pulisic came on against Newcastle and Ajax and helped us win both games. Was rewarded with the starts and he has duly scored the goals. We want players to make an impact whenever they play, no? Lampard set the challenge to the players and Pulisic has responded with 4 goals and 2 assists along with decent showings in the last few games. This is now like the reversal of the situation in September. Going forward; - it's better to be over confident than under, he's only just back from injury, and only 18 ! Just hope he doesn't get all Berty Big Bollox again, and chuck his toys out the pram if he's sidelined to prove his place

There certainly seems to be an agenda with the following person where youth players are concerned.

Surely the majority of members here want those that are best suited for the job above all else. Every academy player isn't going to cut it & some need to realise quickly.

Only Sarri gave him a Chance as a no. 8, which was his best position at youth level. RLC was always judged on performances, in which he played in other positions. CHO also has that Problem when he is judged on right winger performances. I know him from his Youth days and I can tell you that he will never be a good right winger. He can be a very good left winger or second striker though.

Exactly this. 

All it takes is a couple of games for these "fans" to label a player as "not good enough". Before last season RLC was not "good enough".

2 games into the season, Tammy was not just good enough, he was a championship level striker. 

Now it's CHO. The same people who want a change of identity of a young, energetic team, don't have a dime worth of patience to even afford them a month's time. 

No probkem though, in the end, it's the same people who come out looking like idiots.

Wow just a couple weeks ago people think that Cho is better than Hazard, now he is not as good as Puli. 

Or he is just a young player who clearly has massive potential, that has just recovered from massive injury. So he will be a bit inconsistent and he is not even close to Hazard yet.

That's what I worry about too. Believe me when I say, I'm CHO's biggest fan but his attitude just seems a little off in the past few games. It wouldn't come as a big surprise if he was to throw his toys out of the pram when not getting the minutes he feels entitled to. Hopefully his lack of urgency and poor decision making is simply down to not having a pre season and walking into a team that is playing very well which is highlighting his lack of fitness. I want him to succeed here soo much it would honestly hurt if the hype fizzled out and he ended up moving on.

Agree, if he gets dropped - could see him going to Arsenal or Everton and being their star. Its finding the balance of him improving finishing/final ball -(again I say hes only 18) and keeping him interested. Hope he stays and becomes one of the best.

If CHO has any brain in him, he would not go to Arsenal or Everton.

Depends what drives him. If he's not getting playing time at SW6 he could get itchy feet, and his agent will push for playing time somewhere else. They would both get 10-15% of 30 or 40m of the selling price, which for some is a big motivator. Hopefully he will fulfil his potential for Chels.

Lets be honest the money hes on here Arsenal and Everton wont top it. Or if they did anyway, it would be a step down regardless so if he decided that was what he wanted to do it would show exactly the sort of person he is.

His place last season was never a given and also this season its not. If he thinks he deserves to start every week because he got a new 5 year deal on big wages then he is horribly mistaken.
