From what I have seen I woukd say no. He is a part time starter at Sassuolo, hardly a powerhouse club, but he is only 21 (turned 21 3 days ago). I hope he isn't an Emerson clone.ย I have no idea why we just don't buy a true quality LB like Chilwell, Firpo, or Alex Telles. All 3 of those (or the ultimate buy, Lucas Hernandez) would (well should,ย as you never know with Sarri) instantly bench Alonso. I guess we shall see with Rogerio. Maybe I an underestimating him, but he was barely ever in my evaluations (quite extensive) for LB targets.ย If he is so good, why are Juve letting him go? Especially as they must rate EMERSON as better. Not looking so good to me. manpe

LAM09 7,056
Sarri doesn't think he's good enough to bench one of the worst FB's in Europe right now, but he wants to keep him. This shit gets on my nerves

ja1 1,166
Good performance from him tonight. He is quite raw and occasionallyย sloppy at times but you canโt tell me he doesnโt have potential, that heโs any worse than Alonso (as other people have said on this forum on the Alonso thread) or that he doesnโtย provideย a clear difference to him.ย ย He should be given a run of games. Thereโs every chance he improved further with game tome. In fact give a run till end of the season. Thereโs a very slight possibility we may not need a new LB with Emerson and Iโm keen to see how he does. Popular Post! Milan 17,958 Posted January 24, 2019 Popular Post! Share Posted January 24, 2019 There is no way, absolutely no way that Alonso is the first name on the sheet again. Absolutely no way. Emerson has still a lot to learn but he already showed a big difference. Please Sarri. Popular Post! Jase 43,479 Posted January 24, 2019 Popular Post! Share Posted January 24, 2019 It's sooooooooooooooooooooooo refreshing to see a full back charging up and down the flank with pace and causing danger in the opposition box. Emerson wasn't afraid to take on players and attack the box and the others were confident in playing the ball into space, knowing he has the pace to get onto it, unlike Alonso, who must always receive the ball at his feet.ย But knowing Sarri, he'll probably drop Emerson back to the bench for Alonso when the league returns next week... Popular Post! !Hazard! 3,394 Posted January 24, 2019 Popular Post! Share Posted January 24, 2019 We played exactly like Sarri wants to play in the first half. Quick passing and with intensity. And Emerson had a big role in that as Alonso (and Willian) would have slowed down our game yet again. It's simple: If Sarri wants Sarriball then he must choose players that are suitable for that system. And that means no Alonso kellzfresh, manpe, Dazzy_Vance and 2 others
