O.M.G. This is beautiful!

Newsflash…. these sort of clauses are negotiated and standard in most player sales at that sort of level.

Yes the fee mentioned in the video are likely wrong but I am sure we had these clauses put in Hazard, Kepa and Courtois deals when they joined Real for CL/La Liga wins.

Nothing new

mount was sold well.

about kovacic, i think it was also the right time to close the cycle and if that helped the purchase of caicedo and lavia, who i hope will be very good for the future, it didn't make much of a fuss to me

about havertz, I have more doubts, but palmer is proving to be a much better player and I also expect very good things from madueke

Think it's still early on Mount, but it is looking that way; looks like another James/Kante with hammy issues, which will take a toll. I'd feel more conformable with your statement if Lavia played football tho.

Kai and Palmer don't play in the same position. Kai is a second FW or Striker, never a mid (much less a winger) as he is not mobile enough for that.

I like Jackson and I like Kai, even though they are completely different players in terms of characteristics. They'd complement each other very well too given that Kai is much stronger in the air and in tight contested spaces, while Jackson can dribble and beat players with pace.

Some of our swaps aren't really "net positives" at least just not yet; folks have personal preferences about a player vs another, but it's all about competitive advantage as in actually beating the other teams and acquiring silverware.

We often focus too much on individual performances in a team sport.

Man Utd flop Mason Mount told to ‘read the room’ after posting injury update following Spurs defeat

Mason Mount has been told to ‘read the room’ by angry Manchester United fans after he posted an injury update on Instagram in the wake of Sunday’s 3-0 defeat against Tottenham.

The former Chelsea midfielder’s Old Trafford career has been a tale of frustration so far with fitness issues preventing him from making the impact he would have anticipated making at the Theatre of Dreams.

The England international made his latest comeback against Twente in the Europa League last Thursday after a month on the sidelines.

Mount started on the bench yesterday and was thrust into an unenviable position by his manager Erik ten Hag who introduced him at the start of the second half with his team trailing and down to 10 men following the dismissal of Bruno Fernandes.

Unable to stem the flow of one way traffic towards United’s goal, Mount’s afternoon took another turn for the worse when he was forced off in the 85th minute following a clash with Radu Dragusin.

Mount posted a picture on Instagram on Monday morning which showed him getting stitched up and the damage is unlikely to keep him out of his side’s midweek game against Porto.

‘I’m all good, just a scratch,’ he wrote. ‘Thanks for the messages.’

The image was subsequently posted on X by a prominent United fan account and the majority of responses were less than sympathetic towards the struggling £60 million signing.

‘Read the room, man,’ said one disgruntled fan. ‘Awful signing.’ And another added: ‘Here’s a message, don’t smile on socials after you’ve played a part in one of the worst Man Utd performances in a decade of terrible performances.

Another fan noted Mount was ‘Always quick to interact and respond. Got to say his PR is off the the charts.’

‘What planet are these guys on,’ said one more fan, despairingly.

Since 2022, Flekken has scored more league goal involvements than him. Can you identify which one is a GK? 😄

The moment he & his father did that pathetic video after he joined United, all his good credit from his time here went down the drain.

I was a fan of Mase. That video killed it for me. It was completely unnecessary.

Video doesn't even bother me that much - when I watched it I had the feeling it is really his Dad is a big Man Utd fan and it was almost like his Dad intentionally wants to start a beef with Chelsea fans, and Mase just looks awkward and doesn't know what to say to him. What's he gonna do when his Dad says it is special - in front of the camera - tell him the truth which is money is the only thing that interests him?

Money Mase lost my respect and support when he started to focus heavily on building Brand Mount - he quickly built a hugely inflated ego that needed popping, which surely has happened now. It was evident on the field as much as off it - he strutted around really thinking he was the King and the other players were there to support him. They will surely tear that number 7 shirt from him soon - hilarious and embarrassing that he is wearing it for them.

Him hiring a PR company that uses Matt Law as a mouth piece to write pro-Mount/anti-Chelsea articles was the final straw that left him totally dead to me. Basically directly taking his Chelsea wages to pay a known journo to slag us off - talk about biting the hand that feeds you. I honestly think the fans and club were both very good to him and he spat in our face out of pure, undisguised greed and arrogance. Fuck him.
