Club turned down money + Brozovic/Eriksen for Kante, according to Matt Law...

Chelsea have turned down a bid for N’Golo Kante from Inter Milan that included Marcelo Brozovic and have also informed the Italian club they are not interested in a deal including former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen.

But that may not have completely put Inter off Kante, as the Serie A club are attempting to raise funds through player sales before deciding whether or not to make a final straight cash bid for Chelsea’s midfielder.

Kante is one of Antonio Conte’s top summer targets at Inter, but the former Chelsea head coach knows that he faces a huge battle to try to get the 29-year-old out of his old club.

With Inter struggling for money, Chelsea were made an offer that included Brozovic, who could have linked up with his Croatia national team-mate Mateo Kovacic, but the Stamford Bridge club turned it down.

The Blues were also made aware that Eriksen could be available, either as part of another bid for Kante or in a separate transfer, but Chelsea are not thought to be interested in the Dane.

Also:

Lampard would favour selling Jorginho rather than KantΓ©.

100% percent agree with lampard on this, kante still ahs a lot to offer as we saw in the france sweden game a few days ago while jorginho doesn't fit the style we're trying to play at all..

Jorgi can be effective in the right team, he was very good for Italy the other day. We cant let Kante go if we aint getting Declan or Partey.

Maybe but I still feel his skillset and characteristics are much better suited to serie a

I said so before, this 20/21 season is the last of him being an undisputed starter. He is alright winning back the ball but does not help the transition. I think we need a player like Rodri who can sit deep, defend with his body and still pay good passes out. Can’t rely on Kovacic doing it all.Β

Horror show today, lost the ball numerous times in easy positions. Contributes nothing when we have the ball

My problem with Kante is, take first half he was constantly on the ball with space problem is he can't do fuck all with it other than run on a short pass, jorgi is same short pass player. We need like a quarter back style player who can ping that ball around. At this moment in time I'd give leeds 50m for thereΒ English lad, names slipped my mind sure vesper will help me out here lolΒ

I love the wee baldy man dearly and with so much being said online about other PL clubs after him I dont want to see that,

But for whatever reasons hes not contributing what we need right now.

We need a ball playing defender that sits in front of the defence. Someone that can pass the ball about adter winning it.

I do think that job COULD be sorted by a Kova/Billy G partnership but wont be this season. Not sure if Billy will play here even next year.

After seeing Rice today I think he could do it with Kova.

N'Golo Kante 'wants to leave Chelsea due to tension with Frank Lampard after he refused to let him go to a friend's wedding... and the midfielder dreams of a move to Real Madrid'

N'Golo Kante could leaveΒ ChelseaΒ in January after falling out withΒ Frank LampardΒ over a wedding and dreams of a move toΒ Real Madrid, according to reports.Β

The French midfielder is one of the top midfielders in the world and is currently on international duty with his country ahead of a mouth-watering tie with Croatia on Tuesday night.Β

But French news outletΒ Le ParisienΒ claimed Lampard refused to let Kante skip training to attend a friend's wedding before the international break which angered the 29-year-old.Β

And the report also claims that Kante is dreaming of a move to Real Madrid and his representatives want to secure a Chelsea exit within the next 12 months, even though the LaLiga side are yet to register their interest in the player.Β

The Frenchman still has under three years left remaining at Stamford Bridge but has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge for most of this year.Β

Kante and Lampard came into the season on good terms after the Chelsea manager allowed the midfielder to take compassionate leave after the player had concerns about coming into training during lockdown.

The 29-year-old had a difficult time with coronavirus symptoms during the season's hiatus earlier this year and had doubts over whether it was right for the Premier League to return in June.Β

Kante ended the season with Chelsea and did not leave the club during the summer transfer window, but the latest debacle could change his future at the club.

The Frenchman joined the west Londoners in 2016 having just won the top-flight title with Leicester City.

Kante has since played 175 side for the Blues and has helped them win one Premier League title, one FA Cup triumph and the 2019 Europa League trophy.Β
