Just one thing still puzzles me here. Why not Mata ?

If this continues, come January, other clubs will try to sign him, as I already read. Him not playing regularly, it diminishes his chances for Spanish national team for Brazil. Then, he might even ask to be released, I feel.

I think the only reason why he's not playing is because of Oscar's sublime form.Oscar will need a bad game for Mata to start.Its all about competition for places now.

If we can give torres over 2 years to prove himself at chelsea then we should have faith in mourinho, eto'o,willian,Kdb, and schurrle(who are still unproven at chelsea) at least until january just like we did AVB and RDM if by then we are still shit then we can really complain. But if we sack a coach of Mou's caliber this early as some plastic's are suggesting do you think any classy coach will want to come to chelsea? Moreover it seems only Roberto Mancini is available for now so its not even worth thinking about. Chelsea team has always been complicated and that's why i'am happy that coaches like pep guardiola never came to chelsea because he can only excel with the very best of players so he might have been embarrassed out of chelsea. Mourinho is certainly the right man for the job he has the CV, experience and most importantly the personality to put a very strong and long lasting chelsea team which he has done before. I see our current squad as very much like the porto side mourinho mentored to champions league glory because of the technical similarities in players like Deco, carlos alberto, benny mccarthy for porto and mata,oscar,willian,Eto'o however I feel this chelsea squad is much stronger offensively having other players like hazard,Kdb,schurrle compared to his porto side, therefore i have no doubt that mourinho has managed this sort of team before and i know that once he gets going with the team we will be unbelievable. I have decided to fold my hands and be patient until January where i can analyse better but december should be a modest time for those without patience. I do not trust mourinho, because he is human but i definitely believe in his abilities and love for chelseafc and that's sufficient enough for me to risk one whole season for him to succeed as long as his intentions are the same. If not Mou then who else?

Everyone who is doubting Mourinho can I just ask a question? Have you ever been a Chelsea supporter or watched a full season when we where title contenders? I know we haven't been up there for a while mind, so it's a large possibility there are some new fans, there is nothing wrong with that I'm just asking.

Because this is what happens in those seasons, you have to get used to it. When we won the title or contended I can never remember dominating it from start to finish, except for 2005-2006, but that was one of the greatest seasons a football team ever could of had in the league.

Just so you all know there are positives, not just another AVB saga, we are good enough to hurt anyone this year, last season or the season before yes you could of doubted us we didn't have any potential or any good attackers. Now we have good quality and a good established team (needs more work but we are coming along). For the new fans don't give up so easily, this happens, and come on we've only lost two games, and I don't count Old Trafford as a defeat as we got a point in what is potentially the 2nd hardest game of the season, nothing to complain about.

Hazard,oscar,schurrle,kdb are all internationals and willian who isn't is just as good as the others that's how tough it is for not only mata but for the six of them. Oscar who is his most likely competitor plays no. 10 for the most prestigious national team in world football. I admire your concern but with players like moses and lukaku on loan i am definitely sure chelsea want to play fantasy football this season therefore mata has no luxury in this fantastic squad.

Especially when you think that Chelsea had a huge load of midfielders with Lampard, Makelele, Essien, Tiago, Ballack, Gudjohnsen, they were very complete but did not like that even again some weaker team, the team were sitting deep, and were scrapping results while they could have passed the other teams out of the park.

But I have always been more a fan of the pass and move game than the physical combat.

I read that at Napoli, they now play a more solid game when in possession, not only relying on counter-attack and that Hamsik, Higuain and Insigne had great link-up play between them.

Our team back then where more counter attacking, we would play in our own half a lot, however we could also cause damage primarily to the likes of Drogba who could cause all sorts of problems for the defence just on his own and a big ball coming his way.

We where a brilliant team though, I never used to watch anywhere near as much games then as I do now, never had any of that streaming stuff I just watched Match of the day or go to an actual game once a season as my home town where in the Premier League then. We used to score some great goals, players like Lampard where the key. Now it seem the board want us to go towards a different role, where we can actually play a good game of football rather than playing more direct.

But for the main point I can never remember us winning a title or even finishing 2nd without having a bad patch, besides Mourinho's first season I just can't remember it, we have always had a rough patch of games where it looks all shit. As fans we need to be a bit more optimistic, we are not the team we where two seasons ago, we now have good players a highly respected coach, we shouldn't be looking down at the floor after 2 defeats.

No one is looking for favors & Mata is no exception. Had Chelsea done proper transfer business this shit would have never happened. If Mata goes, plays elsewhere, while Chelsea struggles, then what you gonna say, then ? No team should get rid of their best player for two years running. Perhaps, Chelsea will be the fucking first ?

Blame Emenalo and his cronies. Stockpiling players for no reason other than preventing other clubs from buying them seems to be biting us in the arse.

Rather than developing our own like Arsenal have done with the likes of Walcott, Gibbs, Ramsey, Wilshere, Jenkinson along with the majority of the top sides in Europe at the moment we just buy players for the sake of it regardless of whether they fit in the team or not.

Rather than bringing in Schurrle, Van Ginkel, Willian etc. the money could have been spent on a fullbacks, a proper midfielder and strikers. A couple of academy players could have been promoted instead or give a chance to the 20+ players we have on loan.
