As someone said Lamps will come to our board eventualy...I somehow seriously doubt it will happen as long Mou is our manager. Sooner Lamps will get in city board after hearing how nasty paycheck he will be getting there.

Jose Mourinho: No room for egos in my Chelsea team

The Portuguese says all his players are focused solely on winning

Jose Mourinho says there is no room for rampant egos in his Chelsea dressing room as the team’s main focus is simply to win.

Chelsea maintained their six-point lead at the top of the table with a 3-0 win over Tottenham on Wednesday night and Mourinho looks to have forged a highly-focused and single-minded squad.

When asked whether any of his players deserved more praise for their displays this season, he told Yahoo-Eurosport in a recent interview: “I think a good quality of our team is that we don’t care about it (individual praise).

“We just care about the team, about the result, about the table, about our collective ambition.

“We don’t have space for selfish people, we don’t have space for egocentric people, we don’t have space for people who think more about themselves than the team.

“I think this is a great quality for us.

“Obviously we like very, very much to have someone voted player of the month or have somebody score the goal of the week – these little things that for some are big things but for us are small things.

“What we want is to win matches, play well, make people realise that we play not just to get a result but to reach a certain level of quality of our game.”

Chelsea have now gone 441 minutes (7 hours, 21 mins) in all competitions without conceding a goal #cfc

It seems our defence are getting solid now, upcoming test in Newcastle game.

441 minutes without conceding a goal and to be honest, the CAN goal was something that simply was unavoidable.

this back4 is solid!!!!!!!!!

He also said one day there will be a statue outside the Bridge for Lamps! When he's done his career he will always be welcomed back with open arms.

I think he said that before lamps joined city...

Are you really questioning Lampard's status as a club legend? Really? He will be welcomed back with open arms and rightfully so! The supporters were singing him off the pitch after he scored against us! doesn't that tell you something?

Mourinho loves Lamps he just won't speak on him while he's playing for our rival for the title... After that stint is over its back to the love fest.

What's the point? did you hear the question he was responding to? Jose is being Jose, he has no ill-will towards Frank its all in the spirit of competition.

You really think there are no bitter feelings towards Lampard? Jose is a very emotional person and if Frank helps City to the title, I doubt his relationship with the club or Mourinho will ever be the same.

You guys are nuts... Jose Loves Frank. I think you guys are getting far too caught up in the spirit of competition. You really think Jose is pissed 35yr old Frank, who decided to go sit on the City bench, isn't at the bridge this term? Had we kept Frank who comes out of the team? Ake? I think both parties made the right choice regardless of the outcome.

When its said and done Jose and Frank will embrace and speak about the titles they won together, no move Frank makes in the twilight of his career is going to be frowned upon with all the success and friendship they shared.

There's a difference between being pissed that he left Chelsea (nobody is) and being pissed that he joined City (plenty of people). You do realise he's helping them mount a serious title challenge (including by taking points off us)? I don't think it will matter too much in the end if we win the league but if City do then it will be partly down to Lampard. And what Chelsea fan/employee would be happy with that? Not Jose, that's for sure.
