Jase 43,479
I don't see the reason to judge Falcao comparing to last season and expect him to fail because of it. Why not judge him after he gets a few more games? I'm am aware he had an awful season with Manu, but he should be given a chance by some fans rather then getting slayed over 10-15mins he sometimes gets, that's not fair to him. You can call it unfair but if last season was anything to go by, then Falcao won't do well for us this season (if he does, then fair play). He was unconvincing at United and with Colombia too during the Copa America. His form has completely gone out of the window since the serious knee injury he picked up in January 2014. When given chance by Jose, he has looked sharp and very motivated. His goal from yesterday was brilliant. Yes, he did score a good goal yesterday but otherwise, he hasn't done much and the highlighted sentence above is exactly why people draw similarities with Torres. People keep on heaping praises for the very little things even when he has nothing to warrant a praise.

Popular Post! Pacquiao 1,834 Posted August 30, 2015 Popular Post! Share Posted August 30, 2015 Falcao has 1 goal in 53 minutes of football so far this season, and he is still getting criticized by people on here?it makes me think the people who are criticizing Falcao after 53 minutes of football, are people who are desperate for him fail, and probably the same people who think Bamford should be in the squad instead of Falcao, Bamford can't even get into the Palace team, and its highly likely he will never make it at Chelsea!Falcao has looked good so far but its too early to judge whether he will be a success or failure, so the best thing to do is just support him and hope he does well, because so far its looking like he will be a success here. Duppy Conqueror 1,534
I want anyone who puts on a Chelsea shirt to succeed. doesn`t matter who. when we are talking center forwards my money is on Costa doing more for us.it would be better for us as a club if Falcao, the player we haven`t signed to a longterm contract like we have Costa to, would have the least impact/lesser year. but that doesn`t cloud my opinion of the two.I am replying as somebody who has not been for or against loaning Falcao..just for those who are lazy in reading what others have said and decide to sweep members who don`t entirely agree with you into the "fanboy" or "hater" piles. Barbara 15,149
This thread should be merged with Diego's and renamed The Twilight Zone.I'm surely confused and lost reading the posts. I don't know where I am and please don't ask my name.I can't even say what I came here for in the first place and believe me I'm not kidding.Good goal, that's all I've got to say now. When I'm not that confused I'll probably have more to say, but in the meantime I'll avoid Diego's thread (haven't been there yet) because it might make me even more confused. KevinAshburner 1,270
indeed.hi Henrique. in that post i was talking about the person editing the first team page ' https://www.chelseafc.com/teams/first-team.html ' on chelseafc.com was messing up and changing and editing the links for players and falcao and begovic are removed from the strikers and goalkeepers list of names.i can't stand how badly and slow and lazy the admins at chelseafc.com are so shit at running the CFC website. BlueLion. and Henrique
Muzchap 8,966
It's crazy this thread as @Barbara has alluded to.Falcao - being judged on last season = finished Let's compare that to Harry Kane...Last season great, this season no goal in 9 games... I did comment at the time he might be a one season wonder - but I was shot down.Strikers thrive on Confidence - end of story - build a strikers confidence and they can score from any chance it seems - a striker with low confidence would sky it from 2 yards Well done to him for taking his chance and let's hope it continues - for Chelsea's sake... Barbara 15,149
this picture we have for his thread is a travesty, lol, every time I see it I have to double check the name. I'm sure we can find a better one... he doesn't even have that haircut anymore and yeah, I'm nitpicking

He is still a good player even when not scoring.Strikers need confidence, which is indeed true. However, they also need technique and legs... especially at this level. Without both they will not find the space and won't have time/competence to apply the finish. And won't build confidence.Torres had technique, but no legs. There was no way for him to build confidence as his streaks of good form were short-lived.The question mark concerning Falcao is his fitness. Another serious injury or a sequence of minor muscle injuries could be the end of his career at this level.Knees are never the same after serious injuries - from a players perspective it's usually worse than breaking a bone.At hist best, Falcao is better than Costa, so it does make sense for the club to hope for the best here. El P. 1,354
He is still incredible at playing with head, that goal was superb. There's data about him scoring more than 50% goals with his head in career. It's simple, give him good ball/cross - he will (probably) convert it. Don't give him good ball/cross - you will have man less on the pitch. Classic number 9. Henrique 9,133
UK press keep saying Falcao failed to make any impact, when he never started a single game, and usually play for 15 minutes when Mourinho press his "i dont know what to do" button. He got as much goal as Costa, who is loved by british press for being a "street fighter". Special Juan 28,141
Him or Remy need to be given the nod ahead of Diego for tomorrow. And you cannot full judge this lad on the cameos he's played so far. I'm looking forward to seeing a team sheet with either his name on it or Loic's
