was discussing Da Bison & I started to try to remember some of his best moments. I went to YouTube & found this Gem

It's like it had been ages since he left but he was a Chelsea player a year ago.. What a player he was!

“Essien will not play in the Premier League for any club other than Chelsea, his former team.

“We had offers from West Bromwich Albion and Queens Park Rangers but we refused.

“If we were to get an appropriate offer from a club which is not in the Premier League we’d accept.”

Bosh bosh.

I have no doubt that if it wasn't for that 2009 injury, he'd still be here. Very much a vital part of our team!

A real shame, great player, played whenever and where ever needed.

I read the club advised him to reduce the mass on his legs because it would impact him later on in his career with regards to becoming more injury prone. Serious knee injuries followed. Real shame.

Imagine 2006 Essien in this team.

But Essien believes that Chelsea fans will not forget what Lampard gave the club.

‘Well, you know how fans are but I believe the Chelsea fans are always going to give him their warmth and respect everything that he did for the club,’ he said. 'I’m sure that they will give him a welcome.’

So sad that he wasn't able to finish his career at Chelsea. He is one of my favourite players ever, our engine in midfield and so likeable.
The goal against Barcelona was spectacular, at the time i got the flu, but despite headache i was cheering so loud, unbelievable.

I try to honour him by using his name, he will never be forgotten!
