Laylabelle 9,534
If Ronaldo does bugger off it'll be 'ooo it was down to Scolari advise blah blah'
Stamford 3
Scolari Wooowooo Scolari Wooowooo He comes from Portugal He hates the Arsenal! I don't want to appear pedantic, But he actually is from Brazil. Great appointment. Have to say he wasn't my first choice, But after all the uncertainty I'm pleased with Scolari. warnie_666 1,081
I am NOT getting too excited with this. He has ZERO experience of managing in EUROPE. most of his life he has managed clubs in brazil and West Asia. and led a star studded Brazil team to the WC victory. He is 59 a bit too old. I am not sure how long he will last. He cant speak english, dont know how he will put his ideas across, exactly the reason why Lippi backed out. The only positive thing is, Carvalho has an incentive to stay at Chelsea and finally we will see some good attacking football.
Dan 1
Mixed about this. I am relieved we’ve appointed a manager but am not sure. Way I see it. Pros: Respected Manager in the dressing room Will attract the best players Will encourage attacking football Won the world cup Cons: Can’t speak English Has never managed a European club Fairly old So I’m mixed. But I won’t be negative at all I’m sick of it. I’ll definitely support him and give him time to prove himself!

Aesthetic Relic 301
The vibes I'm getting from everyone is that no-ones doing somersaults over this appointment. All in all he's an unproven manager at club level, but has managed top players at international level, so he should know whats what in the dressing room. He'll have a hell of alot more support than our previous manager. According to SSN thats the last we'll hear anything from the club reguarding his appointment to let Portugal concentrate on matters in hand. Which in turn should let us get moving in the transfer market as I'm sure PS has made Chelsea aware of the players he's like to bring to Stamford Bridge. diskoviolente 425
i think he is a great oppertunity for the club ! he was world champion with brazil and is very much respected, i think and he knows how to deal with players and big pressure. he is the best choice Chelsea could have made...
