So I was speaking to a close friend who is a Fiorentina supporter and he said we have a real gem on our hands but don't get too excited about his shooting, as it is one of the worst in the Serie A in terms of percentage per shots on goal. It annoys me because it promotes the advertisement of players over the whole club and individualism over team spirit. Because it should be "just a number" it annoys me that the club allows players to pick such unconventional numbers that allows them to stick out.

Another effect of football turning into a money oriented business....but that does not hang on this case so it's not that important. Was just making an observation about the principle.
