I think journalists are making up most of the rumors and Remy was just chilling somewhere resting himself for a fight with Falcao.

His agent may have been helping the rumors but partially in order to make Chelsea understand Remy would have a backup plan come the end of season if he wasnt playing.

Its just plain dumb to leave considering we had a grest season and he done really well.

In the midst of all the talk about John Stones, it seems Mourinho has confirmed Remy will stay at the club (last paragraph in the article link below).

“We believe that he can with us and to replace a big player like Didier we wanted to go with another big player with experience, ready, so these three strikers for us – Falcao, Rémy and Diego. We are very happy.”

There's no reason to suggest that Mourinho wants Remy out. The only way this transfer could happen is if Remy forces the transfer, which I doubt he will do.

What in the world makes you doubt that?! Remy would be a nailed on starter for almost any other EPL team.

That is true but he gets to win trophies here and judging from what has been reported, he just wants more game time than what he got last season. If Mourinho is going to give him that, then I doubt he will look to leave.

Not sure he would get into any of the top 6, Southampton is probably the highest club he would be a automatic starter for.

Guess he has the choice of squad player and get medals round your neck or play week in week out and fight for 6th/7th.

I think even if he wants to leave, Mourinho will try to convince him to stay and I'd say Mourinho is quite the persuasive guy. He's had convinced many players in the years he's been around, Fabregas being one prime example of that.

This was the reassurance I needed to know he won't leave. Mourinho sees him as necessary and part of the plans. The lad can say and win titles - or at least fight for them - and still play his part. I think that's a good enough package, isn't it?
