For us?

He is good enough not to get near relegation. Ergo - good enough, at the moment.

heh fair enough.

Say for a club which has CL ambitions... which sadly and as implied above isn't chelsea.

If I do go into my Mikel logic Remy also does not make sense. The fact people around here think he deserves to play (a lot do actually) is irrelevant. The fact that he does not play implies the manager and coaching staff think he's not good enough. in which case, why is he in the roster?

Remy is an under utilised player

Yes, he's probably not the best striker in the world, but neither is Vardy, but they can find the back of the net and that's what we need right now!

I would bet with a decent run of games Remy is a 15-20 goals a season man, which is pretty decent :)

Robguima has summed it up perfectly.

We got a choice between a striker who on form is a world class striker (striker not player) and someone who is probably our best option at the minute but not good enough to be #1 at a top club which we still are despite this.

I can understand the argument for Remy but I can also understand the argument to keep playing who is on form our best striker and hoping he plays his way back into form.

Was similar with Cech when he was having a wobble around 2008 time, do we let him play his way back into form or do we play our decent back up in Cudicini ? Both arguments are fair.

No comment. :zip: What I did read was that he wanted out last summer, was denied and kept here against his will.

Still, it's a bit of a stretch if you're saying that the club is forcing him out of matchday squads and making up fake injuries when Costa is unavailable because......they want revenge because he wanted to leave? Or are you saying he's refusing to play because they made him stay?

Either, it seems very far fetched, tbh...

The latter was what I was thinking, and you're right, it's far fetched , but it's not impossible. Especially in this season's circus environment.
