Hahaha , now Diego is the culprit, cheap opportunism. Imagine if it were true that he needs more than 30 chances to score a goal , haha, not that he would have 12 goals in the PL in a horrible season like this, it seems as if our attackers have a game so many chances to make a goal. It is actually fatal , in the few chances you have for starting tries his goal . Pretty much have to take all the offensive system in the back, with Hazard returning to play the game well Diego improved a lot. I wanted to see another striker playing Chelsea this harrowing to see how many goals would, haha . It is far , very far from being a problem.

Diego Costa Has Been Involved in 14 goals in his last 14 Premier League games for Chelsea ( nine goals , five assists ) . Integral .

Not only that, we can also talk about the chances he doesn't get during a single game...

Several times during a game you can see him making a run behind the defense but the midfield fails to spot him on time....it was one of the reasons that Torres was also largely ineffective here, although El Nino had a bunch of problems of his own

Torres was just rubbish, 20 league goals in 110 games says it all.

Haha, not disagreeing with the fact that Torres wasn't helpful...my point was more about how the midfield fails to spot the runs made by strikers like Costa

This donkey cost us the game.

He needs 30 chances to score a goal.

He is a genuinely awful footballer who occasionally scores goals

Ronaldos general play is shit but he's forgiven because he scores 50 goals a season.

I'm not saying he is on Ronaldos level, but apart from the first half of this season he's always scored a good number of goals, and his movement creates numerous inroads, we create a lot more chances with him than without and that's not a coincidence.

Of course if there is a genuine avalible upgrade than by all means drop/sell him, but considering a fully fit Eto'o is the closest we have had to Costas level ever since Drogba declined, we defiantly should not be rash with Diego.

Hopefully in the summer we get rid of the shit strikers on the bench and sign one that offers something different to Costa, what do you think about Troy Deeney? He doesn't score too often but he is top notch at all round technical play which is Costa's weakness.

While I agree, blaming Costa is stupid, I will say this. The moment, we have a good striker ala Suarez, who doesnt live off his movement and finishing solely and is good with the ball at his feet, rather than without it, is when we will really thrive. Honestly, Higuain bottles chances, but his one-twos would make Hazard and Willian score loads, if need be.

Don't get me wrong, I've said it before, I love Costa's passion. His desire, his hunger for it,but his first touch and dribble makes me consider how he became a professional footballer. 1.Consistently chasing his first touch as if he can't control a ball.

2. His passing. He does not want to release the ball when need be. I just get so frustrated, especially in the Spurs game, when Eden wanted the ball twice and Costa just decided not to boot it in his feet. I don't know if he doesn't want to, he can't or it's just him being selfish, but it is atrocious.

3. Dribble. Dragging out to the left wing is one thing. You drag your man and leave space open, that is pretty good, yes. And if you receive the ball, you use one or two touches to supply a fast attack IN THE OPEN SPACE you have created. But the fact, Diego takes the ball to make some shite dribble, which 99% he can't do, because he lacks ability and also neglects his teammates, as said in pt.2 is why I would consider killing myself.

Don't get me wrong, Diego is one of the least of our worries, BUT, he is limited. People will say Giroud is shite. And while, I agree, in a team like ours he'd thrive so much it is unreal. GIROUD FFS. Imagine someone like Cavani, Morata, Higuain, Icardi, Aubameyang, etc.

Costa's movement can be sublime at times (like the first half of last season) but he is wasteful not just with chances but his general lack of ability constantly killing any hopes of building play.

Honestly, I've just had enough of pretty much all of our players. A couple of months ago I had Costa down as one of 5-6 players I'd keep no matter what but now I genuinely couldn't care less. Why place faith in somebody who you're unsure is going to be able to control the ball?

Costa is not good enough like it or not.He needs alot of chances to score 1 goal. His ball control is terrible, his passing is most of the time bad, movement is good but then he slows down because he can't dribble. He would be better if we play with 2 strikers next season somethink like Dybala and Mandzukic.
