Maybe it'll change if we were to actually sign him, but right now I just can't get that excited about the prospect of getting him. I just don't think he's on the level of Aguero, Cavani, Ibra, Falcao, Suarez, or RvP. He doesn't wow me or make me feel 100% confident that he'll be a 25 goal a season striker that I crave to see here.

I don't think he'd flop here, but I just don't think he's as good as his stats make him look this season in a league where teams can't defend. Think he's having a very nice season but I'm not sure he can consistently be on a world class level season after season.

I think it's a shame that the one transfer window in which the club will FINALLY be spending big on a striker since Torres is the one transfer window in recent times in which there are no real world class strikers available. Just our luck really!

BPL defence is worse in Europe, apart from us and City and Arsenal earlier this season. Remember there was a point a few months ago when anyone can beat anyone(still sometime happens).

have u seen him this season. Wasteful. Hopelessly so. Does make good runs but his finishing is simply not what we want. Specially in a system that is hardly pro-striker, we need someone who can bury the chances they get.

Are you saying that because he missed a few chances in the El Classico? Benzema is having a great season...

In terms of finishing Costa is just as bad as Benzema...the only difference being Costa is having a very good season because the team is built around him.

Benzema is a natural goal scorer...there aren't many BETTER options out there except Cavani.

benzema is having a great season??? Dude He was DROPPED for the first el-classico for BALE up top as a striker, who by the way had just come back from injury plus with no pre-season. That was the extent at how poor benzema was in the first couple of months.

He did comeback strong but still doea not change the fact about him. I mean I was watching sevilla vs real, and he had 5 good chances in the first 10minutes. Its been his trend all season.

Even though Cavani went to PSG just last season,...still have the feeling that he could wind up at Chelsea. Probably the most compatible striker for our team...
