The Chels 2,502
Eto'o and Ba > Drogba and Torres Definitely. If you look at our strikeforce as a whole, is Costa/Drogba/Torres much better than Lukaku/Ba/Eto'o/Torres? Costa is by far the best but we really haven't improved as much upfront as you'd think given how everyone and their nan seems to be tipping us to win the league. Hopefully we'll buy a new striker and that will change.
xPetrCechx 13,571
Costa will undergo further tests at Cobham, and there are hopes the injury will not prove as severe as first feared. #CFC (Guardian)

BlueLion. 21,491
In other words, he's out for a while. If it was hardly anything to worry about they wouldn't have commented.
Beepu 1,714
Minor is good, 1-2 weeks should hopefully be it, especially with international break coming.

MrBlueGuy 1,552
Knew this would happen eventually, luckily for us it happened now instead of in 3 weeks when the window is closed. Trying to rush him now will result in the same situation Atletico found him in last season.

Yeah, probably the first time I am happy about the international break. Will be interesting to see how this will affect the Torres transfer saga (hopefully he's already a Milan player in Mourinhos mind), and how we will line-up vs Everton... nadavTKL 1,787
So he won't play in the weekend, shame but we can win without him, but our next game is on Sep 13, and it's an home game vs Swansea. The next one it's 21 vs City, than we'll need him and I hope he'll be ok. The only place to be
Sidzeret 2,257
Minor muscular injury? What is that? Either you pulled your hamstring and is out for 4-6 weeks or you didn't. I really hope its not another hamstring injury.

Fernando 6,585
Hope he's not becoming our Aguero...It seems like it. If he's getting this in training then he has never properly heal from that hamstring injury as it's a recurring thing.
calculatingInfinity 1,472
Minor muscular injury? What is that? Either you pulled your hamstring and is out for 4-6 weeks or you didn't.I really hope its not another hamstring injury.Someone is clearly not a doctor or even someone who bothers googling hamstring injuries. There's several grades of this, and you can be out anywhere from 1 week to 6 months. Here you go" Grade 1 Hamstring StrainWith a grade 1 hamstring strain you may have tightness in back of the thigh but will be able to walk normally. You will be aware of some hamstring discomfort and unable to run at full speed. There will be mild swelling and spasm. Bend your knee against resistance is unlikely to reproduce much pain. Grade 2 Hamstring StrainWith a grade 2 hamstring strain your walking pattern will be affected and you will most likely be limping. Sudden twinges of hamstring pain during activity will be present. You may notice some hamstring muscle swelling and your hamstring will be tender to palpate. It will also be painful for you to bend your knee against resistance. Grade 3 Hamstring StrainA grade 3 hamstring strain is a severe injury involving a tear to half or all of the hamstring muscle. You may need crutches to walk and will feel severe pain and weakness in the muscle. Swelling will be noticeable immediately and bruising will usually appear within 24 hours.Diagnostic MRI may also be used to specifically identify the grade of hamstring tear and its exact location....... Hamstring Strain Recovery TimesWhile every hamstring injury and the demands of your sport differ, here are some general hamstring strain recovery times when you follow an optimal physiotherapist-guided rehabilitation program.Grade 1 - 1 to 3 weeksGrade 2 - 4 to 8 weeksGrade 3 - 3 to 6 months. These may also require surgery."http://physioworks.com.au/injuries-conditions-1/hamstring-strains-amp-injuries zolayes, nadavTKL, jeronimo and 1 other
MrBlueGuy 1,552
Still it doesn't matter if he is out for 2 weeks or 6 weeks, what to say he doesn't pick up another in December? Aguero were the same last season and even after a lengthy period out and he came back injured again and that was the way for the whole season. We need a Falcao/Remy/Bony now, it is a must with this injury serving as a clear warning of what could happen if we rely on Costa too much. Don't even know why the club decided to bring back Drogba, I think he will show on the weekend how past it he is, can he even lasts 90 mins a BPL match anymore? Jype 6,398
What if it's all a ploy to get Milan to hurry the fuck up in sealing Torres' signature and them caving in to our demands? Clutching at straws here...
