pHaRaOn 2,131
Worked his ass off today. Great overall performance (defending headers in our box, great tackles on both halves of pitch, constant pressing, which allowed Fabregas to score), but some shockingly bad decisions in attack. chelsea_4_eva 1,186
The same guy who had a right go at pedro. Could have assisted 2-3 goals today. Nonetheless... we won the game!

BlueLyon 9,359
He has hunger to score and be top on goalscorers list. Good for us he had bad finishing when we got others to score. Next time he gets these chances, he can score two, easy.
Blue-in-me-Veins 4,067
Honest question, do you guys really believe Diego Costa is gonna be sold in the summer? And if so, who would you guys want to replace him? Because Lots of people on this forum and Chelsea Twitter keep going on like it's a done deal he'll be sold and keep talking about potential replacements.  I thought the whole situation was overblown, and simply just an injury dispute,  and I filed all those transfer rumours under bull shit speculation. But if Diego really really wants to get out of England, and not even winning the PL again could keep him again, the only replacement I'd accept is Mauro Icardi. End of discussion. Fernando

The most discussed potential replacements to Costa are Morata, Lukaku and Belotti. Haven't really heard any other (realistic) names being thrown around. I'd be satisfied with any of those because they are the best who could possibly be available not for £100m, but my first preference by far is for Diegoal to stay. Thinking logically he will see how well we have done this season, he likes being the center of it all and I can see he would like to try taking on Europe with us in this mood. With Simenon no doubt leaving AM next summer and not knowing who is taking over thats 1 reson not to go back there. I dunno how he would take to going to RM. The team he took so much enjoyment of going up against them and how it would affect his love for AM. Its a tough one. Lets hope it was just BS or hope Conte has a glass ball and can tell if we need to be looking for someone now.

He is a good poacher thats why he gets those goals, but even inter fans would replace him with Kun in second if they had chance. quickpassnmove

Not even. I don't know if you've watched Icardi recently, the guy is anything but Lazy. He runs extremely hard for the team, and always tries very hard to link up team-mates as much as he can. It doesn't help he has Candreva on one side, and is often left on an island all-alone, but he's been phenomenal this year.  And to that last part, no way. Go on twitter/any forum right now, and ask any Inter fan if they'd even entertain that idea. Icardi has not only been banging in the goals but has an incredible number of assists as well this campaign. Icardi has taken that next leap, you ought to watch him more.

Blue-in-me-Veins 4,067
You don't just "simply" replace a striker who's on pace to help you win 2 league titles in the space of 3 years. Mad ting. Yes, Costa and Hazard will never be on the same wavelength on the pitch. Sad ting.  Yes, Costa does suffer from hamstring injuries (this year he's been clean). Thank God. Yes, his technical ability is very hit or miss, and mostly the latter. Sad ting. But yet despite all this, he still leads the line and when on form has shown to be as clinical as fuck in front of goal, going through spells where his expected Goals scored vs Actual Goals scored are just out of this world. (Long winded way of saying Costa is clinical as fuck.) Mad ting.  And like I mentioned earlier, he is on pace to fire the team to 2 PL Titles in 3 fucking years! Mad ting!  Nah man, CFC gotta keep Diego at all costs. Can't trust the board to find an equally/more effective striker. You just can't trust them. Lukaku links? Lmfao. Beigl

petre.ispirescu 4,928
Right thing to do IMHO. He's worth every penny. Might not be the most technically skilled centre forward, but I feel he's perfect for Chelsea's setup. Loved by the fans and brings much more to the game, not only goals. The way I see the football game, I think Diego Costa is one of world's finest centre forwards when coming to working the channels. In today's game of football every top teams needs this type of centre forward, a la Diego Costa, Luis Suarez, Robert Lewandowski, Edinson Cavani, to do it all, work the channels, come deep to pick the balls, help the defence, not only to act as a poacher, score goals and rely entirely on his team's performance. I think the modern centre forward is capable of scoring goals out of nothing even when the team is not at full capacity and Boro away and WBA at home come first in my mind. Would be a hard task to do to replace Diego Costa and this news is music to my ears. FabHazard, pHaRaOn, Blue Colored Sky and 1 other
