CurlyHairLikeLuiz 1,625
Quietly fantastic tonight, got the balance just rightSuch a shame it was overshadowed by the fact we were shit in nearly every other department. kellzfresh and The Chels
Tomo 21,751
He hasn't been at his best so far, but even in the midst of it he has had two brilliant displays tonight and at WBA and decent displays vs Arsenal and Swansea. We have many troubles in this squad right now but Costa isn't one of them. Pacquiao 1,834
Where are the Aguero fanboys gone? Apparently Costa offers nothing when he doesn't score and Aguero does. Its actually the complete opposite! Very good performance from Diego, unlucky not score, but his all round play was excellent, on another planet to Lukaku's all round game, so the Lukaku fanboys have piped down also, there was a reason why Costa was able to have such a good season in 2012/13 playing on the wing and behind Falcao because his all round game is very good, to many clueless people were quick to judge him when he wasn't in form, once the players around him start to wake up then the goals will start flowing again. Hybrid Angel 2,130
Top striker. As Wenger would say, top, top Qualitee.I don't understand the Aguero comparisons. They're both very different strikers with different qualities. People on here - including my self - seem to be big fan of consistency. Aguero doesn't have any of that. That being said, he is till a top striker but it would be an exaggeration to put him 'levels' above Costa.Diego is not a problem in our team. If anything, he is a plus side. Costa yesterday would have scored at least 3 goals if he was given proper service. At the moment, he does not get any service. Despite that, he performs very well. His game is based on runs behind the opponent's defence, and at the moment we're nowhere near supporting him in that regard. We should be grateful of having a player of his class in the team. Our problems are not having any offensive quality, Ivanovic, a rb playing at lb, out of form Fabregas and Matic, and a stubborn manager. Not Diego. kellzfresh, Tomo and Pacquiao

I know which members have but Costa's all round game 2 nights ago was no different to Lukaku's all round game against Southampton and WBA. The difference is Lukaku scored 4 goals in those 2 games. But, yeah Costa was very good last night and if he continues to play like that the goals will come with ease.Aguero bar the glaring missed chances he had was also very good up front. Caused tons of problems and was a meance all night. But, yeah I do agree that once he scores more people will start to appreciate him much more again. Popular Post! CHOULO19 24,332 Posted October 1, 2015 Popular Post! Share Posted October 1, 2015 One of our best players against Porto. He made so many excellent runs that were not picked up by our midfield. Him moving to the left wing was for most of the game our main source chances. He really is an excellent player when he's up for it and actually looking to play football and not pick up fights with his shadow. Not Diego. Both Aguero and Costa suffer from consistency issues though so they have that in common. It most likely has to do with both of them suffering injuries here and there during a season, keeping them out for a couple of games and then needing time to get back to 100%.Diego was good. He was just playing football and that's how I like him. If he can only keep it that way and perform consistently. But then again, he'll need the team to get back to normal for him to start firing.
