From the video The only place to be posted it looks like Cesc didn't even realize at first what's going on and just went to pick up the ball as he intended to do - as soon as he sees the commotion he drops the ball, runs to Costa and forces him away. Getting in the face of Everton's player in the process by the way.

Why his behavior is even an issue, I don't understand, really...

And Costa should tighten up his act. Not that I'm blaming him for whatever he said (not much obviously 'cos he doesn't know English) as Coleman was doing his best to get him sent off all match. But picking up silly yellow cards is not the way.

After the goal, Fabregas actually turns and celebrates with the Chelsea fans who are seated in the stand the cameras are situated in. Then he picks the ball up and actually pulls Costa away from the melee to calm him down, which is exactly what he needed.

Think some people are making mountains out of molehills. I remember some people saying another player who spent 8 years at Arsenal before joining us in his mid-20s would never be 'proper Chelsea'.

Howard comes running out moaning but literally at the split second he goes for Costa, Fabregas turns his head. As soon as he turns back around and sees Costa and Howard he pulls Costa (who is already on a booking) away. He does the right thing. Anyway, that's far too much time spent talking about a complete non-incident.

I can see Cesc seeing Howard running towards someone and turning around probably brushing it off as nothing. The moment he turns around is when howard actually charges Costa. Then when he turns around yet again he sees the confusion and promptly gets involved and is actually the one to put Costa apart.

Your main point here seems to be a comparison between Ramires and Cesc (you posted this same paragraph of words in three different threads, two of them being Cesc and Ramires) - which quite honestly - is laughable. Ramires is the guy who's got a suspension for elbowing someone or for creating this kind of situation in the first place. It's no wonder he runs across the box to get involved... We should be thankful he didn't pick a yellow out of it. In that case, I'm even more thankful if our players don't get involved in this kind of quarrel.

I believe Fabregas thought Howard went to get the ball from Costa to restart the game quickly, that's why he turned around to give Howard the ball. In fact he was trying to defuse any potential situation. But by the times he's picked the ball up and turned around he sees all the drama.

Fabregas wasn't scared, he just didn't have a clue what was going on.

I'm not sure anymore what the hell was going on there, but the mere concept of Fabregas being scared of an altercation is hilarious. That kid wasn't scared of altercations with big boys when he was 16-17.

There was TOPTB's version of cesc not knowing.

The first guy who quoted me said that cesc was "disgusted" with what costa said and hence turned around.

All of these are "versions" of the same video that people are watching. Yet, some of the people are so quick to judge others opinions even though they themselves are not sure of wht happened.

I ll go with the latter one. I think cesc knew exactly what he was doing. He dint want to get involved in the altercation. Fair enough to him. But like I said it to the person before, I think a player should have stood up for his teammate. And I loved it that azpi and rambo did that. That's exactly what I woulf have done.
