Styles 9,790
Just watched MOTD. The way KDB ran past Fabregas for the second goal is hilarious. Fabregas looked 80 years old. chelseafan26, kellzfresh, Essien19 and 1 other

Popular Post! Tautvix 1,321 Posted April 18, 2016 Popular Post! Share Posted April 18, 2016 "A lot has been said, and many wrong things, about that," Fabregas explained on Monday Night Football as he made his punditry bow."I love Jose, and I even consider him my friend. We still keep in touch right now and some of the things said were unfortunate."But I have huge respect for him, and I think Jose’s biggest problem was that he trusted us too much. He gave us more holiday because we were champions, he believed in us more, he trusted us more, and we let him down."The whole team, all the players. And that was the main reason why, at the end, he had to go - and myself, and all the team, feel bad for that.” Blue_Fox_, kellzfresh, Blue Armour and 5 others

Pizy 18,909
Minus the attacking football bit, surely we had a manager that was "always on their backs and pushing" them? The ultimate version of that type of manager in fact. Maybe Mou just takes it too far? Just bizarre and incomprehensible to think how our whole team bought into José's methods and message last season and won a title by miles, yet this season just decided not to. It's always harder to hold onto what you have. I just think there was little desire from most of the squad to stay at that level. The extended holidays had an negative impact as well (nice gesture from Mou backfired).

Well next season will reveal everyhing. We go back to our best and this season will look like one off, probably because Mou worked things in wrong way (too long summer, no signings etc) and eventualy players got tired. If Matic, Hazard, etc remain in team and play regulary, but still perform shit, then the problem is much worse because that would mean we have useless squad. And replacing them will take ages. We are in a season when Leicester of all teams is on title run. Wouldnt be surprised to see ~8 chelsea players suddenly not give shit about anything and ruin our club tbh. Hopefuly thats not the case tho. chelseafan26

I have a feeling conte is a different beast than José in that regard. He sounds like a madman when things don't go right and he'll pick up on a mistake and drill the players to quit making those mistakes. Italians are known to be very fiery characters. Sure some of them might want to make up for this season, but if Conte's behaving like a mad man and they have to run, run, run, we'll see. They play too much, Euros coming up and they're already tired, their contracts are not running out, difficult with these multi millionaires. If we buy only 2-3 guys then we're in for a roller coaster, i guess.

I don't know if Conte is as much a mad man as the media makes him to be, but the players must repay the supporters for the suffering they put them through this season. Even if it means accepting to be corrected.

Or sitting on the bench/reserves to someone like Mikel. Just hope we sell the lot. Nuski and kellzfresh

We don't have a right for anything, yes we pay, but so do other fans, but i'm with you on this and hope that most of the players will make up for it. Fabregas is a talker, admitted to Henry that Chelsea should have done better, but the talking is done on the field and it hasn't improved that much, imo. For example everyone knows what Mahrez is up to these days, playing those dangerous balls and cutting inside to finish it off, but Chelsea didn't prevent it, Mourinho told them but they did nothing against it. Maybe Conte is the needed fresh air and able to change all of that, would love it. He needs to bring in his soldiers, hope Emenalo is up for it. 2 hours ago, chelseafan26 said: "They are tired" Doing what? Standing on the pitch while watching Kdb glide past them? Some of them are playing footy for many years, maybe it's all coming together and we're talking 'burnout' over here. They have to train regularly and it's been monitored, i guess, not easy to get away doing nothing. You can't only speak of what happens on the pitch, imo. Finally we have an agreement, fingers crossed that we'll see a major overhaul in the summer.
