Arturo Vidal

Regarding this scenario (midfield 'three' of Matic, Fabregas and Oscar if you will) I think Dion summed it up perfectly in one of his posts in the Fabregas thread:

It's an interesting suggestion. It will be similar in some sense to what Ancelotti did at Madrid last season with Di Maria and Isco when he played them as CM's to accommodate for his 4-3-3 set-up. Problem is I highly doubt Mourinho will play Oscar in this role. He is far more of a pragmatic coach and always likes to set-up his teams in a very regiment manner. It also limits Oscar's attacking game. He won't be able to play as he would in a "10" role as he'll be always worried to cover for Fabregas and vice-versa. I like it though, especially against the weaker, bus-parking gods of the Premier league.

These two formations are very related though. What's the difference in a 4-3-3 with Fabregas playing that "Lampard role" and a 4-2-3-1 with Ramires and Matic in the pivot with Fabregas as the "10". Just a matter of slightly more/less defensive responsibility. So Dion's idea makes a lot of sense. Oscar and Fabregas can alternate as "10" in a 4-3-3.

Ferguson would've never spent 30mi + on a player like Herrera or Vidal, that's why Manure kept missing out on top class midfielders.

Then, when the club finally decidedto spend some money, they give it to David Moyes (lmao). He could have alredy signed someone decent last summer, but instead he went with his lover Fellaini!

Fellaini for 32mi sound just as crazy as Hulk for 40mi, Luiz for 50mi and Torres also for 50mi...

Our buddy Tancredi and some guy from Manchester Evening News say that Vidal to United is all but done and imminent.

*sigh*

Normally I'd laugh off this kind of thing but it seems there really is something in it. United really are about to sign the best CM in the world seemingly unopposed and for a very reasonable fee if these rumors are to be believed. And he likely isn't the last world class player they'll be signing.

Im pretty sure its all just stupid summer rumors... Juventus wouldnt sell Vidal especially for those rumoured prices. I also never saw an Italian source saying something about that (Di Marzio said he knows nothing).

Di Marzio doesn't know everything about everyone, that's what people must remember. He maybe 'In the know' to a certain extent but I bet there is a shit load he doesn't know.

But its not just Di Marzio, i only see English reports about VIdal to Man U (and most of it is shit sources like Express or DM), no Italian sources.

I tend just to wait and see. Sometimes they get the day and date right ya know.

Here's hoping they got the latter one right, would absolutely hate to see a player of Vidal's level go to those cunts.

Well, the former might not even be right in the first place. Heck knowing Daily Fail, the move was probably never on to begin with.

Well technically the fact that they've 'reported' both possible outcomes means that they've got it wrong even if that is what actually happens! In Arabic we have a proverb that translates roughly to: "The astrologers are wrong even if they are right."

And this is exactly what those journos writing about transfers are: astrologers.

Yeah, whatever happens they can just delete the wrong article and claim they were the first to report it. Talk about covering all bases.
