OneMoSalah 8,888
He isn't far off Cahill already. Many would prefer him to start for England over him.Well those many who would prefer him are obviously daft. Seeing as how Stones has featured more as a right back for England than a center back when guys like Jagielka and Jones play much more regularly in that position than him... also have you considered Cahill is the best English CB that is picked for England.... Stones isn't even better than Chris Smalling who is another one who has he has improved significantly under van Gaal this year.
Blue-in-me-Veins 4,067
would love it if we signed him, besides his potential, having England's 3 Best CBs would be a nice perk too. The 'passing of the torch' (if you want to romanticize it) would be pretty fitting from JT to Stones.
Chelsea_firstlove 178
And all four of them are brilliant centrebacks "English players I want to see in future Chelsea's starting XI are Solanke, Colkett, RLC and Abraham"Starting XI is not only CB position. We have Christensen and Zouma, more potential than Stones.

Siwy_CFC 7
We have Christensen and Zouma, more potential than Stones. Have you ever seen Stones playing? He is on the same level as Zouma is. CBs duo in shape of them both looks very bright in future.

Siwy_CFC 7
Stones-Zouma would make too many mistakes.I mean not now but in future. I know that such a young pair in centre defence won't work at all. But if we sign him now and send on loan for 2 seasons to team in BPL and let him become experienced player.

DavidEU 2,023
They're apparently trying to sign Johnny Evans for £8m. Whether as a replacement or not who knows?Though I wouldn't want to be paying anything more than that £20m to be honest.

Diego 433
Finally some proper transfer news! From the little ive seen of stones he looks like he has a great future. On the Evans thing I had assumed he was replacing Distin who went to Bournemouth
Toli 977
20m already a lot of money for him. Dont know how much Everton would want, but 25 m would be the maximum for me. Has potential, but hasnt proven himself much yet. Of course the homegrown factor is important and I could see Everton demanding lots of bucks for him. Blue Colored Sky 1,807
Well, more than Chelsea bid for Stones pleases me the fact that they bid for a centre-back. So they see the problem.Probably it's repercussion after Everton agreed the deal for Evans, though Di Marzio reported that Chelsea are indeed interest in Stones a few months ago. Leif 6,006
Now i'm finally starting to feel sick at these inflated fees. It pisses me off justifying tens of millions on a player because he 'has a bright future'. I want a player who is bright now for that sort of money.Or you know.Just get one of the many Spanish defenders on the come-up right now who'd cost half as much, and are already performing at an equal if not better level.Dammit i wish i liked tennis instead of football.
