BlueLyon 9,359
Brilliant match but plenty of room for improvement. Like how he goes in every duel very strong and dynamic unlike Cahill, Iva or even Terry who back off too much Supermonkey92

Rapkun 668
Progressed during the game and gained in confidence. But mainly it was JT that saved the day.

Popular Post! Barbara 15,149 Posted January 27, 2015 Popular Post! Share Posted January 27, 2015 after being so devastated for dropping out of the cup on Saturday, Mr. Happy looked absolutely elated today, so happy for himThis young players need to win this kind of match... it makes wonders to their confidence and development. I'm happy he took part of it and having missed the first half (can't talk about it) I think he was much better than what I generally see from Cahill. He was very no-nonsense in the second, roofing balls away instead of trying to pass them to Courtois when he was pressed by opposition, but also trying to pass when he had time and space. He's also SO MUCH more pro-active than Gary and that's something difficult to forge, so the fact he already has it in his defender blood only helps us.Hope he's in the team to stay, I'd rather see his mistakes - that he'll learn from - than watch Cahill making the same mistake for the 234985th time in his time here.I think he showed character and he seems to be very invested in every game (maybe because he has to win/confirm his position with every touch of the ball) Blue Armour, King11Didier, Eidur the Spider and 2 others

It seems that many people saw an increadible game by Zouma, Again, the reality shows another thing.

Made two or three brilliant tackles, one being goal saving probably when he took ball away from Sterling who would be one on one with Tibo. Yeah he made mistake few seconds eariler but tracked Sterling and disspossed him well. Boy looks bit raw but he is realy fast, strong and athletic, when he is covering opponent, he is in constant motion, allowing him better reaction. Think if Mou plays him lot more including Cup final, Zouma will gain plenty of experience, confidence and could maybe just mayb be our irreplacable CB in year or two. He is also becoming more and more invloved with situations on pitch, he was shy in beggining of the season, but looking to be more and more loud with each game passing which is definately good for CB. Polo7 3,496
At least twice as good as Cahill, short memory.Cahill is not perfect, neither is Zouma after this one immense showing.Zouma will continue to learn and develop. Cahill has been Exposed over and over again this season. Zouma might not be perfect but he is better than Cahill! 100%

It seems that many people saw an increadible game by Zouma, Again, the reality shows another thing.Cahill would not catch Sterling in first place, and if he would he would commit a penalty. Cahill is in best age, experienced while Zouma is young and is just starting to play bigger games. And i was protecting Cahill alot, but recently he made two mistakes per game and was deservedly dropped. And finaly, you should stop shitting on almost every player we have, so called 'fan'. Terry stopped Sterling, not Zouma. That's an horrible moment, period. And a lot worst than Tottenham penalty or any other moment from Cahill.By the way, minutes later in other attack, Sterling with a simple drible killed Zouma. He was far from impressive, and was not better than Cahill average perfomances. Thats good for a kid...but you as I said you put Cahill in the field making that mistakes and everyone would be killing him...Since it's Zouma... most people think he was increadible. Popular Post! BlueLion. 21,491 Posted January 27, 2015 Popular Post! Share Posted January 27, 2015 Eh? He was fucking class. Two mistakes from a 20 year old in a semi-final; one of which he rectifies and the other his centre-half partner resolves. People must prefer Cahill backing off to Zouma's aggression. termninja 5,290
Did well. Sterling feint killed him and that slight header he missed but fixed. Other than that he looked solid and on his place. Honestly, our defense was nothing worse then with Cahill. Considering the opponent, semi final, pressure and their dangerous attack, Zouma exceeded my expectations ! Keep it up mate!I really liked his agression in comparison to Cahill's backing of. Definitely a player who should be kept and utilized. bababoom 4,478
First half he was shaky IMO, especially when Countinho completely fooled him. In the 2nd half he was flawless, made many interceptions and anticipated key passes. He's not that gifted on the ball like Verane but in a year or so he could be just as good. Massive talent. Reddish-Blue 2,503
Good to see Zouma doing well, he's got the potential to be captain of club/country in the futureIt would be amazing to see Omerou and Zouma play together at Chelsea, even if it is only for one match

robsblubot 3,595
Pace pace and more pace! The dynamics of out defense changed completely as ours CBs were rarely in line! Terry was always sitting back in cover while Zouma was the one giving chase, being proactive. Defense looked great actually. We had trouble in midfield as they played in a very high tempo and Coutinho, Lucas, and even Can had were pretty good. Liverpool played well, which limited our CAMs tremendously.Zouma also seemed a bit more comfortable in possession and his passing was better too - nice to see.Liverpool's Sakho on the other showed poor technique esp passing; regardless of his physical prowess I doubt he's ever going to become a great player, despite his youth. You gotta know how to play footy and technique is the hardest skill to develop. Now we need a sub for ZOuma! Gary can do Terry's job (sitting) albeit without the same quality, but we've got nobody else to do what Kurt does. The squad does seem pretty short. He is a bit raw and I do worry against opponents with more clinical and out and out strikers but he will learn game by game and can only improve with minutes on the field I guess. But you can see that Liverpool are crying out for Sturridge. Had he been playing, Zouma would have been much more tested imo. Will be interesting to see if Zouma is selected against City. I have a feeling he will go for Cahill. Because of his experience and he often performs in the big games tbh. Whoever is picked will need to be on the top of the game up against Aguero.
