Well done Mourinho on sorting out our DM problem , we will counter much quicker now , Matic is a playmaker ,very positive and quick thinking ,he will link up and give our three AM's much quicker ball than Mikel , he reads the game much better ,a fantastic signing by Mourinho and a very obvious one given the limitations of Mikel.

Some bad decisions have been made at the club in recent years when you think players like Matic were allowed to leave while the club persevered with Mikel,but thankfully Mourinho has now acted to put that right .

I don't care if your right with these points or not, but your constant hate of mikel is so old and annoying. Can you find anything else to talk about?

Dont be in denial any longer look to the future and back Mourinho and our new DM . And forget players who are no longer relevant and dont be to upset at their demotion . I apologise about my comments regarding Nemanja Matic and the whole signing as a whole. It was more of a knee jerk reaction more than anything but here's hoping he is CFC legend in few years. My comments may of been out of order but many comments regarding Willian were extremely negative when he first signed. So far, he is one of our crucial midfielders.

Just post without shitting on Mikel, he has his flaws as a footballer, as does everyone, but he's played his role when he's been called upon as well. Best of luck to him, whether or plies his trade at Chelsea or elsewhere.

I hope he is more than an anchorman, but probably someone in the Pirlo/Carrick but with better defensive qualities like positioning, awareness and tackling. He should posses great creativity as well.

Actually Ballack was an attacking midfielder. he could score goals from any range with both feet. he only turned into a more defensively minded midfielder because we had Lamps. But that was in a 4-3-3. Matic has a completely different job. He is a disciplined, tactical tackler, interceptor and distributor. Whilst Ballack was capable of that, too,he was spectacular. Not only with his goals but also when he sat deep with his powerful tackles and diagonal balls. Matic will never be the attacking threat Ballack was but defensively he has learned much more already. Though, Matic should take on some brawn to be as strong as Ballack. He might be 1,94m but he is a beanpole.

Anyway I like how Mou sets up our pivot. It's City style, with Matic being the more disciplined player sitting back, playing passes from depp, intercepting and working horicontally controlling the midfield like Fernandinho does, Ramires can drive forward with his pace and enrgy like Yaya Toure (who unfortunately is the much better footballer).
