Cant see why F.Lampard cant sit in front of back 4 and spray raking passes like and old school sweeper and save his legs!Essien and Mikel could rotate but with Lampards right foot his passing range would be a great attacking weapon.

4-1-3-1-1 formation would be easier to rotate looking at our present squad with a world class cm coming in

Like Ivan but he fell asleep for the Basle goal ,Mikel struggled badly in Basle and did not protect the back four ,we cant allow Southampton to press us at home we need to take the game to them and this side will ,no sitting back we need to be compact and not stretched out with a holder keeping us deep with our three AM's looking to attack our two midfielders need to support them together. Otherwise if one just looks to shield the back four we become very stretched and his partner becomes isolated with big spaces for the opposition to work in ,this is our problem . Hazard was rested in Basle and returns,Torres is certain to play and at home Willian may be the answer when we should be looking to push any opposition back and take the game to them at the Bridge.

Ramires, Lampard and Ivanovic deserve to be dropped after their performance against Basel and Oscar could use a rest. Cahill should be among the dropped too but it's not like we have any other options at the moment with Luiz injured so I guess he'll have to keep playing unless Mourinho is ready to make a point by giving a chance to either Kalas or Ake. Schürrle was very impressive back in October but hasn't played much since due to minor injuries so now could be a good chance to play him again.

Just a thought as our cm is a weak link and at 35 he cant do box to box like he used to,so i guess its Franks last season and what our your thoughts on cm?

I think our cm is the reason why we haven't clicked both offensively and defensively, and it will continue to be so unless we bring one or two in.

I'm optimistic. I reckon we can get 12 points from 12 from our next 4 fixtures. That puts us in great condition to heat up the title challenge when we face Arsenal at Christmas.
