Need a strong team to cope with the physicality that Big Sam is going to impose on us.

................Cech.......

Ivan.....Cahill......CLL.....Cole

..............Luiz....Rami...........

Shurrle.....Oscar....Mata

...............Torres..............

After yesterday, I'd like to see some creative play from the deep, hence Luiz as the deepest player in the pivot which can also unleash Ramires.

Azpi starting will be a huge blow defensively as Ivanovic is better in aerial duels.

Mata deserves his start after the last game.

Everytime Shurrle plays, we seems to be in control. Easy pick.

Easy 3 points if we can get our shit together and go up the table before December.

We'll struggle just like we did against Villa. We can't handle teams that lump the ball forward. If we don't win then are our title hopes are already in trouble.

Home against West Ham I might agree.

But the one thing you can guarantee is that they'll come at us. It's admirable, but it's predictable. Yesterday's team is probably better suited to playing in this fixture with the possible inclusion of Schurrle and Torres.

It'll be physical, it'll be a battle but counter-attacking opportunities will exist and I think we've got a great chance.

If Jose insists on using counter attack football in this match I can see a repeat of the 3-1 loss last time. One thing is for sure, WE ARE NOT GONNA STEAMROLL THEM.

Isn't it precisely because we won't steamroll them that we might have opportunities to hit them on the counter? :blink:

They'll come at us and that will leave spaces behind.

That's the general consensus after that Newcastle match but i disagree as long as Oscar is told to stay in the hole and Mata in the wings. Shurrle provides a more direct classical wing play from one flank and Mata and Oscar can work those passes to break down the opposition on the other side.

Our failures lately are never justified by blaming the partnership pf Oscar and Mata.
