Doubt this will be a popular suggestion but thoughts on Ba starting? Bit more of a physical presence against Evertons CB's. Know he hasnt performed well but I supported Torres long enough so might as well stick by Ba

Lets get Andre Schurrle up and running against Everton. Its time for are German international to make an impact with goals and assists like he did at Bayer Leverkusen. Cameo from Willian and Etoo easing them into the Chelsea machine. Hazard to be saved for Fulham game.

I think Mata isnt' selected for this match.

He will be, players who didn't play for their club usually get preference the first game back from the break.

Mourinho was just letting the media know a lot of times some players won't even be on the bench, but he might be resting them for the next game.
