Player power is an overhyped phenomena (usually used to excuse manager's doing shit jobs), every single successful team have big characters that will happily challenge the manager, as Roy Keane said, you don't win trophy's with a dressing room full of submissive choir boys. But think Eden likes him and he seems to have the upper hand right now. £60mill would go towards a better upgrade tho so we shall see. He is nowhere near one of our best players. We won the FA cup without him. Says it all really!

Said the same things mate Its obvious that willis resentment of Conte is down to Luiz and his problems with him I never had Willi down as a whiner cause I've always liked his commitment and character. But Ive noticed him moaning and throwing little tantrums in games this season. Waving his arms about and shaking his head at our players when things didn't go right. We pissed a league title with him on the bench mostly and even our best form last season came with the 352 alas him not playing. He's been a good player for us overall but i doubt we'd miss him that much. 9 hours ago, manpe said: 60mill for a super average and disrespectful aging player? They can keep taking our assests once then are on the decline, if only Fergie out Woodward in happened a few years prior, we'd have had somewhere to send Kaloudanelka. kellzfresh, Fernando, The Skipper and 1 other

Selling Willian for 60M we'd still replace him with some shower of shite, winger version of Bakayoko. People who are willing to see Willian go to United as easy as that are delusional. Even more delusional than the people who think we will get Martial in return for him and that Martial will all of a sudden develop into a good right winger, which is a position he does not play to any great effect. Willian was shite today. As were Brazil I thought. They looked okay in the first 45 minutes in the first match but, all the big teams except Portugal and Spain have disappointed I think. Johnnyeye
robsblubot 3,595
For me, Willian is already a "winger version of Bakayoko" His contribution in attack is nowhere near acceptable in the vast majority of games he plays. I want Martial as a potential top striker in the future, nothing less nothing more. Once he fulfills his potential, if he does that, he will immediately become unsellable. You have to make bets like that, which is the only way for us to ever acquire top quality. We did that before and had both! Salah and KDB, but the club was unable to hold on to them. So, while I also don't trust the club to properly replace Wllian (with a quality winger), I don't think we have much of choice here. He's losing pace too, so we need to be thinking about replacement anyway. 11Drogba, The Skipper and SadistChicken
