Don't be upset if we lose this game. Don't be upset if the play is not perfect. Don't call for Mourinho's head and claim that X-manager would do so much better in his place. Just reading the post-match thread from the United thread made me cringe. This team is not at same level as it was during Jose's first tenure. We have a young, fantastically talented squad, potentially able to go on to be world-beaters. But they simply ARE NOT there yet. They need OUR support. Not through bemoaning the style of play or focusing on the occasional inadequate performance.

Of course you can raise questions, analyze and provide constructive criticism of our team. Go ahead, be my guest. But to see members post stuff like:

"OMG MOU OUT PARK THE BUS LAUDRUP SO MUCH BETTER"

Really rustles my jimmies. We're going to lose games this season. That's an almost guaranteed fact. We're MOST LIKELY going to draw against a few low-tier teams. But we're (hopefully) going to play some excellent football and see some of the world's most exciting talent play at the Bridge. So get out there and support the team. After a loss/draw perhaps wait a few hours before you post, so you don't end up looking like an ignorant twat. Then after most of the frustrating notion of loss is gone, you are free to post and provide your opinion on why, and what to do better!

I put van ginkel in the middle to give us more strength in the midfield. The team formation is what I would love to see goin forward so that we can accommodate both Mata and Oscar who are both great #10s but with different qualities

Yep it accomodates an extra playmaker which would solve the Mata and Oscar issue in my opinion, Oscar is good at dropping back and whilst Mata has the eye for a pass so its a win win situation I think

Bayern have played so far with Kroos-Mueller, Shaqiri-Mueller ,Gotze-Thiago and Shaqiri-Kroos. Neither of them play the #10 role. #10 role is meant only for one. it's a common misunderstanding that it is a name for the players in the middle. it actually means a trequartista, which can play on the wings too. All the two combinations, none of them are pure #10's except Gotze or to some extent Kroos. Shaqiri and Mueller drift to the wings, with the German having the ability to play as second striker, and Thiago , Kroos come back to defend and hold alongside Schweini. Having more than one trequartista, means having two connectors that connect the midfield to the front line. Imagine a water sink, and one drainage hole. You need only one connector, having two, either slows down the process, or leaks all the garbage out. In the same way, having two trequartista's who hog the ball and create space and exploit holes is detrimental to a team's play. No team has been retarded enough to try that. Until now atleast.

Once again another common misunderstanding is that Chelsea have no width. The wide players cut inside, i.e. KDB, Hazard, or whoever is on the flanks. Ivanovic and Cole provide more than enough width by pushing forward. Moreover in a possession based strategy we don't need width to break down buses. again what Villa did is organized defending, not parking the bus. If width was needed, than Barcelona would not have had so many shots on target.
