I think the problem with purple is it's so close to blue, they might as well use blue for any accents and a full purple kit is too close to the home color. Far too basic.  but I like that black and yellow one, even though we always got either white, black or yellow away and third kits. I would also like some more colour in our away kits. Have we ever had a red away kit?
