I first suggested it 2 years ago when we mighta got the £200m the Pinscher wanted.

Could have turned the team around with that money!

Of course the suggestion didn't go down to well!!

If that had happened we could have hijacked the Mbappe deal and still had £25+35m left over, which surely would have come close (within £10m) of grabbing Alex Telles (who we have criminally ignored the entire time (3 years plus) we have been fruitlessly chasing bloody Alex Sandro).

Left side of Telles and Mbappe would have TORN shit up.:(

https://readchelsea.com/2019/02/03/chelsea-in-three-way-race-to-sign-isco/

nothing like a dirty 3some on a dirty cold sunday night lol

Only real chance of our board trying for him is some type of swap deal for Eden.

Benched by Vazquez and Vinicious and this guy is who would be great to replace Hazard. Same goes for Asensio who is even more overrated.

What a fucking joke. Get players that have big roles in smaller clubs instead of going for Real Madrid rejects.

Football isnt just about flashy tricks. Its about consistency and tactics and Isco doent know a thing about it.

Also their mentality is beyond shit. We already have enough of that crap in our team already. You think Isco will be giving 100% every weekend just to see us race for top 4 spot after playing for Madrid and winning CLs on regular basis? I can see him throwing tantrums and bitch about it every week.

Fekir, Pepe etc are the players we should target. Players with lot of quality and who will see Chelsea as the club that gave them top of the football, not some primadonnas from spain.

Spot on.

I don't think Isco is that tactically inept though? Maybe he just doesn't suit the way their current manager wants them to play. Wasn't he a regular under Zidane?

Under Zidane he was in and out. He started as sub, got in first 11 and became key player and then next season he got extremely inconsistent, still played alot of games, but wasnt anywhere near irreplacable and Zidane didnt use him in some key games. Then he started bitching about it.

He was only a regular under Zidane when Balr was injured and he played a MF diamond of Modric and Kroos either side of Casemiro with Isco at the tip. He put good performances in but he was given complete freedom basically.

Chelsea handed transfer boost as Real Madrid boss Santiago Solari gives up on Isco

https://metro.co.uk/2019/02/16/chelsea-transfer-boost-santiago-solari-gives-read-madrid-star-isco-8646539/

Isco’s relationship with Real Madrid manager Santiago Solari has deteriorated significantly this season to the point that the situation is now ‘irreversible’, according to reports in Spain. The 26-year-old is yet to start a La Liga match since Solari took over the reins from Julen Lopetegui back in October and is expected to leave the club in the summer.

Chelsea and Manchester City are both being heavily linked with Isco as the Spain international looks for an escape route out of the Bernabeu. It’s understood he could be available for a fee of around £75million. According to AS, Solari has lost all confidence in Isco with the attacking midfielder making no secret of his grievances.

Isco refused to shake Solari’s hand following Madrid’s 3-0 defeat to Eibar back in November and also ‘liked’ a Twitter comment slamming his manager last month. The report adds that Isco has put on weight in recent months and Solari has completely run out of patience with the former Malaga star.

Solari da por perdido a Isco

El técnico cree que la situación del malagueño es irreversible. Además, la irrupción de Vinicius y el buen momento de Lucas Vázquez, son otro obstáculo para al malagueño.

(my cleaned up translation)

Solari gives up on Isco as 'lost'

The manager believes that the situation of the malagueño (a man from Málaga province) is irreversible. In addition, the eruption of Vinicius onto the scene and the good moments coming from Lucas Vázquez are  further obstacles in the path of the Málaga province-born player.
