Hamilton 2,120
So, if everything goes really fast, can he play wednesday?
Leif 6,006
I get the feeling that the people who feel 'he's not good enough for a top club like Chelsea' are the same people who thought Moses wouldn't be good enough.
Pizy 18,908
If this goes ahead hopefully Rafa puts him to good use right away and doesn't wait until things go to shit before Demba becomes first choice. I honestly can't wait to see Ba in our shirt. People were saying there'd be no way we could afford Falcao and Fellaini, but if we get Ba for extremely cheap, who's to say we can't get Fellaini now? Mufassir08 2,400
The midweek game's will tell us how close he is to joining us.If he starts for newcastle then it might take a bit more time and if he is not in the squad then its a done deal. Bosnian Blue 2,471
So, if everything goes really fast, can he play wednesday?I hope we can get it sorted really quick this time. Don't want this to drag around like the Cahill transfer. Bearing in mind how urgent our board is, he'll be signed on deadline day.
Slam Dunk 1,442
Proven PL scorer in good form. Perfect.
didierforever 7,349
i was not paying much attention to this thread because i thought we would probably go after some 30-40mil striker but after reading some of the postd here, it seems the deal is real close!!! is that really so?? any good sources? BA would be a great inclusion and for 7.5 mil, i think a real bargain!!

BOSS 372
Did we sign him? Because people here are talking like if he's already signed.
Jype 6,398
Did we sign him? Because people here are talking like if he's already signed.Nope, haven't even made a bid yet, although with the buy out clause it's merely a formality if we agree a deal with the player and his agent. Considering the fact that he's failed two medicals in the last three years makes it hard to get excited before the deal is finalized by Chelsea. Personally I'd be more than willing to take the chance even with the injury record but the club may not think the same...

NishC300 1,865
He's big and strong.... atm all Torres' role is to pick easy chances. This guy will take those chances and he will win physical battles it takes 2 guyz to mark him so he can lay it off for others. He drags ppl on to him! It would make us so much stronger in set pieces! Imagine if in one game we play Luiz at CM, Iva at RB, Cahill + Terry at CB and Ba at CF(gr8 in the air) Even though I wouldn't drop Azpi
Pizy 18,908
A tree has a better first touch than Torres. I was hoping I wasn't the only person to respond to that. Torres has a worse first touch than I do and I haven't touched a football in years.

chelseathebest 150
Some say he's not good enough for Chelsea...WTF?He's three times better than our blondie.Hope we finalize this deal as soon as possible.
robsblubot 3,595
A tree has a better first touch than Torres. lol OK, say you are right and Torres' first touch is just as poor; don't we need a player with sublime first touch, so he can really shine in tough matches where players get very little time on the ball?I'm just not optimistic about Ba scoring as many goals for Chelsea. I guess we will see--should we sign him of course.
