Obviously Ba is the superior striker over the course of their first year with nearly twice as many goals, but anyone who qualifies Torres as a striker at this point is being generous to him. Ba couldn't hit a barn door mate!I have never said that Ba is good enough to be a striker at CFC - you can check my posts about Ba, I said it was a mistake to sell our best striker to Liverpool and buy a replacement who could go crooked at any time. I'm just annoyed it's Torres fanboys saying Ba is crap when their idol isn't better. Both would be lucky to be playing in the Championship based on their form at CFC and that goes for Eto'o as well. Yes , But TORRES was world class , and he shows glimpses of it , BA has never been even anywhere near world class , Torres has scored a couple of winners this season torres , BA only ever gets goal number 2 or 3 of a game when he does! BleedsBlue 1,549 Posted December 18, 2013 Share Posted December 18, 2013 Ba was signed to be our second choice striker.The hate he's getting now is just unbelievable considering most of you were had such good things to say about him when he performed above average last season.This season he's been average at most because he has not gotten many chances but yes that is no excuse for his recent performances.I know its frustrating to have 3 inconsistent strikers in the team but there is nothing we can do.Blaming Ba in particular and questioning why we ever bought him won't help. Our problem is not our third-choice striker it's the ineffectivity of the first choice strikers. I think Ba is not bad to have around. He offers something different which we can use in some games. Plus him leaving means that we'll need to get another back-up striker which I find unlikely. I think he's staying until the summer at least. No team wants to lose players in Jan, even backup players like Ba.Why NOT bring Bamford back as 3rd striker??I was actually going to write that, but then thought that it's probably best for Bamford to spend the second half of the season playing regularly in the championship rather than throw him in the deep here immediately.
