Fernando Torres

I remember making a thread of how torres makes things complicated by not movin, but I was slayed by a few that his movement creates space for mata and hazard, and I'm like they can't be serious. He makes runs everywhere else but in the box(when its the most important.). When we all finally realised it was that goal sturridge scored instead of torres against totenham.

Out torres, in falcao

We need a vanpersie(match winner) and not another kalou.

In all honesty, its disrespectful to compare our very own Salomon to this piece of crap...Kalou scored MANY MATCH WINNERS for us in his time here...And say whatever you want about Salomon's ability, but he played like he cared if we win or loose he just wasnt good enough most times, he is not our highest scoring substitute ever for nothing...I have said it before, nando doesnt give a shit if we win or loose and will always be a scouser in my eyes who cared more about scoring against us that he does scoring for us.....

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, dont soil the legendary legacy of King Kalou :D , by comparing him with this sulking dumb blonde b****......Never ever forget this

Eh? Think you misunderstood what I said originally.

I understood you said we look idiotic by only sticking with him. I said that we had no other option since Hazard and Oscar were our priorrity...

If that was not what you meant, I`m sorry.

My bad. You were spot on there, well almost. :P

Though my main point is that I can't be bothered what others think of us when getting rid of Torres. And even if we may not have enough budget to buy his replacement, I'm sure we could have forked a small figure to buy another striker back in the summer. It doesn't necessarily have to be a big name. Makes no difference now anyway since we look like getting another striker with a big price tag.

I 100% agree.

It just looks to me Roman had something like this: Summer - "We have already spent too much, I talked to Torres and with this world class players he will score many goals"; November - "WTF!!!, how did we not get Falcao in the summer? I am calling my bank manager right now to withdraw 50mi." LOL

I apologize for the error. Forgot kalou at least had passion for the club. :D

Did he really?! I have no recollection of that...

Yeah, 2006 if I remember correctly. A couple of matches where we needed goals in the last 10 mins or so, he brought on a defender and stuck JT up front. Didn't work so he stopped trying it.

His lack of movement has been a problem since he joined and yet people back then were constantly finding excuses for him saying that our style of play doesn't suit him...

To be honest for the first six month's the main excuses were actually valid, but all of them were gone that summer (of 2011) including the service one (you can't complain about service when Juan Mata is behind you).

It would be funny , if liverpool buys Torres back and he starts scoring like a beast again and we gets Falcao and Falcao fails ^_^ what would we do then splash another 50 M lol ?

The latter is unlikely but former is impossible, Torres is finished, no magic move back to Liverpool will change that.

It's not just about giving him the through balls but also the crosses from wide areas. You only have to read the article by WAGNH about his lack of movement inside the box against Liverpool which gave no chance whatsoever to Hazard, Bertrand etc to put the ball in from wide areas. Back then we were still putting crosses in and such but yet Torres finds silly excuses to take the easy way out.
