Fernando Torres

welbeck??? am i missing something? why do people want welbeck? remy/bony. have not seen destro play so cant say much about him.

Actually wouldn't mind Welbeck myself.

Still young and can be improved by a manager that makes him feel special like José. At United he's been in and out of the team and would go long periods without playing at all. When he finally did play he was shunted out wide. If he's played where he should be played I think he has a very high ceiling.

Plus we could really use a young, homegrown English player.

are there people actually thinking about exchanging Torres for Welbeck?

that's like changing six for half a dozen - as we'd say in Portuguese. The only advantage would be the wages and the HG aspect, but we're not getting rid of Torres only because of wages. The main aspect here is technical and it's hard to get worse than Welbeck... I have a ManUtd fan as a brother and every time we watch his team (I do the sacrifice once in a blue moon) the only thing we can agree about is how terrible Danny Welbeck is. He might be even worse than Torres actually.

No, thank you.

Nobody would agree with that, London is lightyears ahead of any italian city.

In terms of culture, food and nature, Italy is nicer than London. Women are beautiful too. Florence, Verona, Rome are amazing. I have been in several cities in italy, as I live in Slovenia, only been in London and Bristol from UK though.

In terms of industrial development, travel organisation, general organisation etc London is ahead of anything in italy by 10years or so.

But I generaly value natural beauty over modern arhitecture and thats why Italy is realy beautiful (apart from certain parts like Neaples, but every country in world has its ugly parts too, UK included). Seaside in Italy is also miles ahead of anything in UK.

People are very friendly in Italy, quite relaxed.

It depends what you value more realy. If I had tons of money, I would probably choose Italy and enjoy, if I was looking for new opportunity, I would pick London as it is probably better work place.

Football vise, London is ahead of any italy city though atm.

Very outdated view of London and the UK.

Depends on what food you prefer...I have been in London last year in july for first time...every country has ''international'' food and domestic. IMO, Italy beats UK in both, but I guess if I lived like you in UK, I would probably say opposite. As Im from Slovenia, I can say I always love to eat here more than anywhere else, not because its better, but Im just more used to the food we have.

When you think of their history and how deep they are now...are italian clubs realy that short on money or what?

more like brains if they think Torres is a great CF.

But they're too corrupted as well, that's why they are where they are. Everyone is corrupted - I'm not naive, but they take it to another level.

You would really take a vacation to london over milan? You are comparing shitty north england to italia?

Yeah, they are...financial wise whole italy is...but still they at least buy Ibrahimovic or Balotelli every now and then, but this summer they did worse than ever before.

Nice that they think he is top striker, if they realy mean it they will buy him too :getin:

The more you think, he is perfect profile for Milan, famous star, past it, old, small fee, big wages.

I've definitely made fun of Welbeck at times in the past but at times he can look like the best player in the pitch for United. Consistency is what he needs to work on.

I think he'd get plenty of games for us and there's not a chance he's worse than Torres. He's not the best finisher but that's what happens when you don't play often. Having a look over on RedCafe a few days ago when the news broke that they'll sell him and the majority of them are pretty angry that he may leave. They'd rather sell Hernandez.

Anyways, it's a moot point as there's not a chance they'd sell him to us. Even though we sold them our best player I doubt they'd even consider it.

On the transfer market: "We’re entering the final hours, let’s see if we’re able to buy an important striker. This is the main aim. Torres is definitely an important striker, let’s see if we’re able to get him or another player. Van Ginkel? It’s possible, we’ve written to Chelsea and we’re waiting for a response. We’re quite confident."

He is not there on vacation, he lives there :D

Sorry @term-x :halo: I think London is actualy very nice city on the eye, but cant beat Italy. Weather alone is good example.

Hard to believe we've been paying him £10m a year?!

Still can't help but love him for his couple of important European goals.

Was surprised to see him do the ice bucket challenge and not miss though. Maybe he's finding his form, if he goes to Milan he'll miss and land in Rome.
