The Skipper 20,609
Yeah I guess thats a fair point but I dont think anyone is denying that it wasnt a hard experience for him and the hatred you're talking about comes from a small minority. The point of frustration I think some on here have isnt so much about Torres himself but more so the preferential treatment that hes continuously given from the fan base when the way hes behaved or the way hes handled his situation really doesnt merit that. I think thats the point you're not acknowledging. Its one thing to empathize with Torres (thats perfectly fine) but its an entirely different thing to treat him favourably - especially when his attitude for a large part of his time here, Im sorry to say, was shittier than shit. That kind of preferential treatment is unfair to some of the other players who themselves have gone through similarly tough experiences while still managing to maintain a far more positive attitude than Torres could ever muster in his first two seasons here; and his poor attitude wasnt just one isolated incident this guy would constantly sulk on the bench, didnt look at all bothered on the pitch, stormed down the tunnel, moaned after we won the champions league - that doesnt even begin to compare to the indifference he showed after our FA cup win when he sat there flipping through his phone like he couldnt give a shit while every single one of the players celebrated our FA cup win.No other player would get away with that let alone still have the backing of the supporters. At what point do we admit to ourselves that the preferential treatment some on here show to Torres has passed the point of empathy and is now just blatant favouritism? You need to post more often. remains of the day

CHOULO19 24,332
It does but... New owner with more money than brain, you never know. Palacio could very well be done for at Inter, too old and it's doubtful if Icardi will ever come real good. If there's anything I've learnt from Serie A it's that the teams can pretty much swap, loan and buy a whole new team every season if they please.Actually it turned out that the owner isn't willing to spend as much as they thought originally as evident by Inter's disappointing winter transfer window. 20m right now in Italy is more than any team is prepared to pay, imo. There just isn't enough money in the Serie A....the Asian market. It's that simple. Now just stop being so pessimistic and PRAY THEY WANT THE ASIAN MARKET! I BEG YOU! It's the only hope we have!P.S. When it comes to stories about selling Torres, being pessimistic should be an INSTA-BAN. Yeah, but they already have the Asian market because of Nagatomo and Tohir himself. But maybe if you pray hard enough, that will all change and the'd actually buy him

BlueLion. 21,491
More like a blessing. Why is it a blessing? Anyone who is glad about a player being injured is on the wrong side of the sane person-moron divide. Torres has failed as a £50 million striker, but he is hard-working, and gives all he has left in every game. I can ask no more of the man. I can ask no more of the man.I wish people would stop saying this, he definitely doesn't work hard in every game. Eto'o and Ba work hard but still get abused by many on here. There have been plenty of games where he's made Berbatov look like a train. Jase, Beigl, didi007 and 6 others
