But not so bad as people sometimes try to say.“There is a balance. Normally, the tendency is to say it was a big mistake. It was a big mistake because it didn’t work......“Even with the top dogs – when you buy for £30m, £40m, £50m, or £60m – sometimes it doesn’t work. It doesn’t mean you or the club made a big mistake. It just doesn’t work.”

lucio 5,418
"I would like to be the best in the world in my position again,"cocky little shit. even at his peak he wasnt the best. eto and villa were better and possibly others. he is barely a premier league standard striker and didnt even make it into the top 30 scorers last season. he should shut the hell up. He said he was so so, but then says it was not bad as people make it out to seem....
Special Juan 28,141
I think so-so is a fair assessment really, but another spin on it is he has been utter average. yuvala and Stingray

Barbara 15,149
And Kaka stayed his whole 3 years with Mourinho.Kaka will continue at Madrid forever and ever, just like Torres at Chelsea. as I supporter to both teams, I remember quite vividly when I heard about both signings.A friend of mine says I jinxed Kaká because I bitched so much about his signing even before he touched the ball that she said I ruined him. As he if needed help for that...Torres isn't much different imo. Overrated players, that had success because of something they did very well (Torres score - although he'd always missed a lot; Kaka run and good finishing), but very, very, very limited compared to others in the same position. How Kaká ever won the Best Player award will always appall me. Mourinho doesn't care about his price-tag and won't put up with his sulking crap. I can see him benching Torres for the majority of the season if he stays. Especially if you consider that he wants Lukaku back and how much effort he will bring to the team in comparison. You heard it here first. mybodyisready 155
"Chelsea is the club where I am and where I want to be. Mourinho is a very demanding coach, but he always guarantees success. I have the confidence he has something prepared for me. I know they expected much more from me. I also expected more of myself", Fernando Torres told Onda Cero radio station. -MARCA-.My blood pressure rose just from reading this. Las7 951
Carrollol was just sold to West Ham for £15.5m + £2m "Add-ons", considering they also probably paid some fee to take him on loan and are ready to pay 100k p/w for the Donkey - Liverpool only lost around £15m on the deal.Your move Torres

Hutcho 8,443
I look forward to people moaning when Jose starts him for quite a lot of games next season. I think it will depend. If we sign a striker and Lukaku stays i see his role being very limited. If we don't sign one, or we do and lukaku goes on loan then he will have to.One thing we know is that Jose will take no bullshit, and if he deems torres not to be worthy then i am sure he will bench him. Ofc, Jose will make up his own mind and if he thinks he is good enough he will also play him when he wants whatever people think about him. Everyone will deal with Torres being here. And tbh if he stays thats ok, because at least i know that he will have competition and a manager who won't just keep playing him when it is not warranted. The thing is even if it is Jose, Torres cannot be just sent to the reserves because we cannot afford putting 20m/yr (wages + fee) on the bench, and we cannot another Malouda publicity wise. I think the club knows that very well. Stingray

I think the club knows that very well. Yeah he won't get sent to the reserves, but i think if Lukaku deserves to be the main man, Jose will go with him, same with Ba and Torres. I am sure he will start some games, as even without mr rotation at the helm some rotation will be needed. If torres deserves to start then Jose will start him. If he doesn't he won't. And that decision would be based on current/recent performances. Which i think is fair. The Mak and Duppy Conqueror
