Blue Warrior 109
If only Torres could be struck by lightning and remember how good he used to be. At this rate he will be pensioned off to Spain. The_Flash
Popular Post! Tomo 21,751 Posted December 25, 2013 Popular Post! Share Posted December 25, 2013 Looks like I'm in the minority but I thought he was the worst player on the pitch. Every time the ball was played into his feet it resulted in a turnover. He caused 3 turnovers, made 18 passes and had a pass success rate of 67%. It's one thing for your striker not to be scoring goals consistently, but when they can't even hold the ball up and are constantly turning over possession each time they touch the ball, it makes it even more difficult to build attacks. Put it this way, if Eto'o or Ba performed like he did yesterday, there wouldn't be many going on about how 'hard' the supposedly worked. He just needs to turn up and people will be falling over themselves telling you 'how hard he worked'. Ba does the same and he's a donkey who isn't Chelsea material. You couldn't make it up. different level 1,056
If you want him to justify his price tag that's not going to happen, but he can still be a useful member of the squad. He's our best striker atm, but that doesn't say much as all three of them are lacking goals.

After three years the denial is still there.Hilarious isn't it, i remember against Newcastle he had no chances, and all i heard was "he worked hard" and even more laughably "he scored the winner against City, so surely we can forgive him this one", Eto'o came on and found himself having 2 chances, yes he missed them both but that alone was better than anything Torres done all game, and he apparently was and we should have kept Torres on Its laughable the favoritism treatment he gets, it use to wind me up but now i just laugh at it. Tottenham fans do exactly the same with Soldado in the fact they make excuse after excuse for his poor performances while bashing Defoe for any little thing but is Soldado does the same thing it's a good sign Las7, The Skipper, The Mak and 2 others

The_Flash 1,144
Yes he would come on give him that so often he is in that position but like Etoo cant find the net. I really think even he would have got those. We wouldnt have beat City last time without him being in that position.

The only place to be 11,313
That's harsh. His finishing was atrocious but everything else in his game was decent. He's a striker. Even some of his passes were wayward. We bought a striker out of semi-retirement at the age of 32 and he's not that good anymore. Why is anyone surprised? It's not his fault. The problem is that we loaned out a hungry young striker a couple of days later. Eto'o isn't the problem, but he's a symptom of the problem.
