underdrog 18
Torres is merely trolling Abramovich to make him offer him a new seven-year deal. He did this last season when he played well from April to May to stop the board from selling him. xPetrCechx
Jase 43,479
Slightly ridiculous that he decided to step up and take that penalty at the weekend when there were situations previously where Mata and 1-2 others offered him the chance to take penalties but he didn't want to. It was a good penalty against Sunderland but had he missed that and we went on to drop points, he would have been slaughtered for days!Forget Pele, Maradona and Beckenbauer, meet the inspiration behind Torres' career... Django 83
Torres is playing well right now, looks resurgent. New striker needed to bolster our options, but not to replace El Nino. Competition for places is important.

manpe 10,861
So now Torres has said that Benitez has fixed the attack and that the attack is benefiting from his, Hazard's and Moses' pace Boy is getting ahead of himself, a hard fall is waiting. didierforever and Manuf

Thats the thing tho, he has got a little bit better these last few games but a little bit is good enough for a squad player but a number one forward is not near enough.Kalou was a squad player and he was having little burst's of form ever now and again like Torres is now. Blue Armour 4,439
What the fuck? They took out the whole meniscus? No fucking wonder his pace has gone to shit.Exactly why I think he needs to change his game like Anelka did, if he has to survive here. But hell, he's only 28 and his pace has dropped so much. Spike 12,049
A good read....http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/soccer/news/20121212/fernando-torres-chelsea/I love the fact that Mata's first English novel is by Charles Bukowski. He could not have picked a more hilariously cynical alcoholic. I wonder if Mata will 'get' a lot of the humour. And how the hell can he not like fish and chips? Spoiled Spanish bastard. Thomas Williams 166
I know the knee surgery must have been brutal, but I think more than anything it has helped hurt his mentality. I think he feels like now since his surgery and the past couple seasons, that he'll only ever be a shadow of the goalscorer he used to be, and because of this, he's not even close to giving it his all here at Chelsea. Instead, he's just playing for the (immense) paycheck, with no love of the game or heart.Although with the special attention Benitez is giving him, that aspect does seem to be improving. At least I hope.By the way, hey guys! I just made an account, this is my first post. Mustafa and Peppen

Las7 951
Good three games from Torres, but lets see how he does in the Final against some real opposition and than if he can maintain this after we return from Japan.
