🇪🇸 Fernando Torres

I'm just honest about Torres. You don't have to get it. Until he does something that convinces me i'll continue to have my opinion. Don't like it, don't read it. Simples.

Sorry, didn't realize you were so thin-skinned. It's a forum, where posts are usually replies to others. Did you read anywhere I asked not to reply? Not to post? Not to state your opinion? But I'll keep your advice in mind, thanks.

The internal Chesea/Torres/they're old and slow investigation is over according to the media.

Okay, well that was a quick one then. The media will have to find another 'Torres scandal' now.

I'm not going to go overboard, I thought Torres played well and had a very Torresque performance--in and out of the game, flashes of brilliance along with some really iffy touches, etc.

I actually think Torres played better for the Stoke game but was more productive today because of players on the pitch who weren't around for the 1st game. Hope we don't regret the two dropped points for that game. How great would it have been to have Mata, Meireles and Sturridge for that one.

He thinks to much, he just needs to pull the trigger at every oppurtunity, rather than over analyse a situation and try to get an 'easy' goal. We need an animal up front that takes every chance he gets, rather than an intellectual philosopher that ponders the meaning and exsistence of scoring a goal.

A confident striker plays with instinct, an unconfident one plays with brains.

Maybe lobotomy is an answer

I think its as simple as Torres being the typical emo type of player... meaning he runs on emotion and his performance will swing in tandem with his moods. AVBs comments and leaving him out of the last game looked to have really fired him up, and theres also been a lot of talk prior to todays game about him being self centered in the comments he made about the team. I don't think hes self centered, just not a very mature person emotionally, and supremely sensitive. Torres needs a fire under his ass and he showed today that when hes got something to play for (personally) he will fight for his pride.

Next match is a big opportunity for him to prove something and stick it to a lot of critics. Hopefully he sees it that way and gets fired up for the mancs.

Was obviously fired up for this one. Got into great positions and worked hard for the team, which is a start. Just lacking in the finish., but won't complain if he sticks a couple in the onion bag up at Old Toilet.

The last assist was good but a Striker with confidence would have buried it himself. Shows Torres is lacking confidence and hence he decided to lay it to Mata.

On the contrary. He is obviously the most desperate man out there to score and get people off his back. So he could have easily grabbed that chance and tried to curl it past the keeper but instead displayed commendable team ethic and chose to do the right thing and ensure a comfortable ending to the game while forgoing personal glory.

He was good last night. I wish he had taken a first time shot when Mata (?) crossed it low but was an alright attempt and forced a very good save by the goalie. A few unlucky moments as well; the shot in the first minute, the goal that was ruled out for offside, the great header from the Cole cross where he managed to twist his body to get the header but unfortunately couldn't get enough power on it. The second assist in particular was quality!!

He just needs to get a couple of goals in a match and he will be much better. Obviously, I hope Man Utd will be that match but I think Fulham in the CC next week would be a decent shout! Know that there'll probably be rotation but I'd like to see Torres play some part if he doesn't score against Utd.

According to the Silvio Berlusconi owned television station Sportmediaset, Torres could be on his way to AC Milan in a swap deal for Manchester City flop Robinho. But it has been reported Chelsea would be more open to the switch if they received Alexandre Pato in return, but Milan are only willing to do business for Robinho.
