teignman 441
Yeah, but no AVB and no sacking him equals no Munich and I would happily trade Spurs finishing above us in EPL for 3 years in a row in exchange! My point is that if AVB hadn't been so stubborn, he would've been more successful. Hence, we probably would not have had the need to sack him. Who knows what would've transpired in the CL were that the case. I'd rather not persist in trafficking in the hypothetical....

Blue Armour 4,459
What the 'new manager effect' would do for us, far outweighs the fact we would become a joke of a club for sacking two managers in one season. The football world already sees Chelsea as a joke, but this would tip the balance.Imagine if AVB managed to seal a top 4 spot for Spurs, and we finished below him...That's true, but when have we ever given a crap about the rest of the football world?I wonder if the new manager effect will always have an effect...it didn't work for the fat man. There's only so much a team can take...
SinineUltra 1,170
Changing my no to yes. We need a change. Hopefully the new interim manager can pull out a rabbit and somehow find answers to our squad problems. At the moment our only 2 midfielders are Lampard and Ramires, both of them are playing more then they are capable of and you can see that on the pitch. Though, arguably they are the most important bit in this formation linking the attack and defense.
Superblue 6,372
With Real Madrid losing last night maybe we could do a manager swap with them. Apparently Benitez is highly thought of by them and Jose could come home and fix this mess!
Changingman_2000 876
Well, thats me awake. Hutcho 8,443
When Rdm was sacked roman decided to sack him 2 weeks later after he had sorted fsw out. So he could be "sorting" something out. Though as he is an interim roman may just wait til the end of the season. Which is one he'll of a gamble. It's gonna be a tough race for top 4. And please would the ivory Coast knock Nigeria out. Ollie 4,400
He's still here oh well. He will be gone after May anyway, there's no doubt about it and seeing Real Madrid yesterday, i reckon it's looking more likely that something might just happen. Fingers and toes crossed with a prayer even if i'm not religious.
Kinol 337
Here is Mourinhos comments on Madrids defeat yesterday. Compare it with Rafas bullshit:Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho offered no excuses after his teamslumped to a 1-0 Primera Division loss at relegation-threatened Granadalast night.Cristiano Ronaldo's first-half own goal ensured new Granada bossLucas Alcaraz enjoyed a dream first game in charge with a stunning winagainst the champions at the Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes. And Mourinho, whose side remained 15 points behind leaders Barcelona, was gracious in defeat."I think the result is fair," the Portuguese said onwww.realmadrid.com. "There have been too many defeats. Granada did theirjob, they scored their goal."They defended in the second half with all of their heart and soul. They have a new coach, new players and had a great night of footballhere with Real Madrid in front of them."They did everything that they could to get this result."We should have scored a goal but because of the great effort thatGranada made, I think that the three points have gone to the team thatdeserved them."He added: "The buck stops with me. You lot (the media) always saythat same thing. When we win and we play well then it happens on itsown, but when we don't it is the coach's responsibility."Today we lost and did not play well. Today it didn't happen on its own - today I'm the one responsible."Mourinho could not resist once again hitting out at thescheduling, though, claiming the fixture list had favoured Barca, whovisit Valencia tonight."There is one thing that has been clear for a long time and that isthat there are teams that do not have any control over their schedulesand the planning of the matches," said Mourinho, whose side battled out a1-1 draw with the Catalan club in the first leg of their Copa del Reysemi-final at the Bernabeu on Wednesday night."Wednesday was an important match and tremendous physical effort forboth teams but one plays today and the other tomorrow. But this team hadto respond in a different manner."Some of the players who played today played on Wednesday and othersdidn't. There are some of them who were tired because worked hard onWednesday and there are others that I do not know why they were tiredbecause they were on the bench or in the stands." Muzchap 8,966
Here is Mourinhos comments on Madrids defeat yesterday. Compare it with Rafas bullshit:Yup - nice comments...Man just come back from the mountain climb with the dog and missus - all the way up and down (despite the amazing views and fresh snow) I had a nice warm feeling that RB would be gone....Back now and nothing's happened - WBA vs Spurs, both changed to 4-4-2 well Spuds 4-4-1-1 - I look at Spuds and would only have Dembele and Bale out of the starting line-up... WTF has happened to our club!!! If that shower of shite finish above us, something needs to happen...Just so pissed off - arse and spuds really close - we're in free fall at the min...I don't care about our reputation - I would rather be in the CL than respected Please, please bring in Rikjard or Hiddink or someone and QUICK!!!!
