Lol you hear what you want to hear Jay. This is just your prior judgments speaking. I thought he had a nice uneventful press conference which is imo the best kind.

Can say that all you want. Doesn't denied the fact that he dodged several questions like when he was asked about his previous comment about not joining Chelsea or other clubs in England due to his respect for Liverpool. Then when talking about his past success, he likens winning La Liga to having won the Premier League in his CV and even spouted nonsense about Guardiola has never won the Premier League! Regarding the captaincy question, he said Terry will keep it by saying "An easy decision. Normally, yes." Normally?! As said, he was being evasive and hardly endeared himself to the fans though he seem to know that he won't be here beyond this season. Since he's only here to get the results, then whatever. Just want to see him start winning again.

He did mention Romeu a couple of times as well I think.

Mentioned his name when RB said he spoke to the leaders of the dressing room like Cech, Terry, Lampard etc.

That was it yeah, I think he was trying to say that both the senior players and the younger players all have the same attitude in training/the dressing room.

And about the JT captaincy issue, I believe he meant that Terry will 'normally' be captain but can't because obviously he's out injured.

Those are my interpretations though. It could be fun having a cryptic manager...

I am sorry but I have to repeat myself. This is how a coward and a cunt answeres unpleasant questions.

Yeah. Could mean a lot of different things. It would be unwise of him to make the same mistakes as AVB.

I don't how he'll have the motivation and the attitude, knowing that he'll be here till the summer.

Precisely my concern. He'll probably try to screw us up. Imagine him selling Mata off!

That said, I'm sure if something were to go terribly wrong, Roman wouldn't be afraid to sack him as well. If Moratti can sack 2 managers and have 3 managers in one season alone, then I'm sure Roman would do it as well.

Well he's going to need a job, so he needs to impress potential employers.

He's also got a lot to prove after his experience at Inter. Not sure if he could be more motivated.

As long as Benitez is our manager, I'll back him BUT only for the sake of the team. Nothing more. They don't deserve to be the victims of the matters happening off the pitch and right now, they need our support to help them get through this tough period and start winning again. Spending time during the matches booing the manager won't help the cause as the negative vibe will eventually transmit on to the players. We do not want to be like the Blackburn fans last season.

This should be the last of your concerns. He has been out of a job for 2 years because he hasn't been able to get a top job. He will try everything possible to do well here, even if he has to leave in May - at least someone else will want him.

It was unwise to make him a Chelsea caretaker at first place.

I am sorry that I am pointing out the obvious over and over.

The other 'obvious' thing is that he is the Chelsea manager and that isn't going to change, so why not start backing him rather than telling him to fuck off and labelling him a cunt.

It might make you feel better, but it doesn't help this club in any way whatsoever.

Isn't that why we're all supporters in the first place? For the sake of the team. Why is it any different with Rafa? It's not like he has a personal agenda to sabotage this club. He has the same objectives as the fans and that's winning trophies. People should stop being bitter because of his past connections with Liverpool. He's a professional simply doing his day job.

don't think the board will allow him to take such drastic decisions givne Mata is one of the best players in our squad right now.

the only motivation i can think he would have to ensure results is that ... he would atleast want to retain this job until the end of the season. Every manager who steps in knows pretty well that the Owner has no soft corners for any manager whatsoever if he doesn't perform/live up to his expectations

Well some of us just have dignity and can't support a man who insulted us over the years.

Exactly and should he do well here it looks good on him etc.He isnt gana sabotage his chances of getting a job elsewhere due to his feeling on us years ago.He was a rival manager! He was hardly going to be complimenting of us and the fans etc.Anyway we seemed to have gone up market since then and give away scarfs instead!

He will have every reason to motivate himself.

After the Inter debacle his stock is low, if he comes here and shows the world that he is still around, say atleast gets us 3rd and a couple of cups, then his stock is back on the rise, he will suddenly be a viable option for big clubs with managerial vacancy's.

Rafa knows he is very unlikely to be here beyond the summer, but he needs to make a success of this job to save his career at the top end of football.
