Kojo 4,676
It looks like, to me anyway, that Piazon has more potential than Sterling, but his current ability isn't even close to Sterling's. (That may sound odd, I'm aware.)I'd compare his current ability and potential to Liverpool's Suso. His current ability is far above average though.Side-thought: I hope we use Chalobah next season in these types of games! When i first seen that comparison before i read the whole thing, i was about to tell you to wake up, but you're probably right. I doubt Sterling will improve as much as some people go on, lets not forget this is an English player, the only world beater we've had is David Beckham.Piazon looks like a good talent, i think he will end up a good player for us. dumps 284
2 clear chances wolves had, and better teams would have netted those. hopefully its just down to the fact we are 4-0 up so the defense is a little bit asleep...no lampard may mean hell start against arsenal.... as much as i love lampard, he shouldnt be starting against arsenal. at least not in that defensive role. BTW have known him since a very young age and know what he is capable of so I am not just thinking he is great because of the media. But 17 and already a starter for Liverpool and arguably the best performer this season. He has pace, dribbling and trickery. As he gets older and builds in muscle he will have it all. I really do like Piazon though and think he will make it big here, but the thing is Sterling will improve by miles. Game by game he looks better. There in no evidence in the claim that you don't think he will improve much. He is only 17. Most players that age don't even make it into a PL team alone yet alone a club like Liverpool. I had never heard of him, but ive watched him this season and been blown away. he really does look good. and consistently good. even surrounded by the crappy players. even better thats he's English!back to the match, pretty sure i could make this wolves team.. they are awful! and Moses should have squared that ball early on where he ran down the wing before falling/fouled. He gave Evra the runaround and I just laugh at the way he skinned Danny Rose. I agree about Wolves, they were overly poor but they rested players, mainly their whole team which explains why they were so crap. They missed an open goal, God knows how. Every single player could have had a goal, Wolves were that bad. Was a joy to watch though

dumps 284
This game as shown a lot for that double pivot:1. Ramires is certainly better than lampard there.2. Romeu is just as good if not better than Mikel in most areas.3. against bigger teams, we could play Mikel AND Romeu for extra defense against more gifted attacking teams. - then we can play with 3 attacking midfielders...4. against weaker teams, Oscar can easily fit in there, Oscar has got the eye for a killer ball and is very good getting forward, but may leave a gap there which is why it may be a better choice against weaker teams. Waterfall 893
While the signs are promising, let's not get carried away. This was against a very poor Wolves reserves side.
Tortilla9 390
I know its Wolves and they're 2nd team at that but Azpi was good. Hope to see more of him, Romeu, and Marin.

Had Lampard he probably would have scored 4 goals himself. Good win but lets not get carried away because after all it was their reserve team. I base the stuff on Ramires from the Stoke game as well though. and i think all those points are still valid - Romeu showed he was big enough for that position in games last season.Oscar and Lampard would probably be very similar in the position.Cant wait for Arsenal. will be our first proper test, i hope RDM sides a decent team for it and doesnt stick Rami and Bertrand on the wings again. roll on saturday! We beat a Championship side that was resting all it's players and you're trying to draw massive conclusions from it. You can't. You can't even draw many serious conclusions from a handful of games against normal opponents.
dumps 284
I thought Azpi was pretty meh defensively.to be fair, its not a good game to be able to judge him on. he has had next to nothing to do. but you cant say he did anything wrong. and going forward he didn't look to bad. a decent crosser, not a bad shot, sensible with his passing. would like to see him play a few games in the prem to see his defensive side a bit more though.Just finished the game. great result for chelsea and the individual players. gives RDM confidence to field a weakened team at weekends when we have a big Champions league game coming up or something similar. just a shame that wolves were really bad, hopefully the next round will be a bit more of a challenge!
