RamiCFC9 258
Ramos was (if iam not mistaken) part of the team who conceded the least goals in La Liga and also part of the team with the best defence in Euro 2012.He also won both these competitions, only based on those facts he is in top5 by default. Kieran. 6,317
He's not way better than Luiz. I watch Real Madrid a lot and Pepe is far superior to Ramos.Ramos makes a lot of rash challenges and gets booked far too many times.And...? I never said Pepe wasn't better. CHOULO19 24,332
Wow, did not expect him to be rated this highly by some here. I don't like Ramos at CB at all. He's constantly out of position and makes the same rash challenges that Luiz makes. Lucky for him he has Khedira and Alonso in front of him, I think a move away from Madrid can really expose his weaknesses.
Kojo 4,676
Every time I've watched Ramos he's been terrible and very clumsy. But he's probably a great defender, i don't watch too much Madrid games these days to be honest.
RamiCFC9 258
Tbf I watched him only at the Euro and he owned every forward everytime, looked massively solid.
YouNameIt 1,511
Ramos? Really? Why not just post your own shit on Twitter saying Messi and Iniesta are linked with Chelsea and then create a thread here.

Lucky for him he has Khedira and Alonso in front of him, I think a move away from Madrid can really expose his weaknesses.I also think that just playing on teams that dominant can hide defensive weaknesses. Ramos is excellent going forward but he's like Luiz defensively. Make some great plays, but makes silly mistakes too. I think transitioning from Spanish football to English football is harder for defenders than for other players. For some reason, I trust central defenders coming from Germany and Italy much more. (Could be the more physical nature of those games and the skill set defenders need to succeed is more similar to the English game,)
OneMoSalah 8,887
Ramos has a poor discipline record, he has more red cards than Fernando Hierro, who had the official club record I think. He is a solid CB, can play a bit and I would take him in a heart beat but hes a bit of a dickhead.
BlueLyon 9,359
In Euro, Ramos was the best defender there. This season, he made poor start, but he will go back in form. Currently, he is best Spanish defender, Puyol is too old, while Pique (who is rated as one of best cbs) does some shit mistakes too. Pepe realy improved this year, he is not so agressive anyomore and his timing is great, so its hard to say Ramos is not great, juat because Pepe is even better. And for City, Ramos didnt played because he needed some rest and was bit punished for bad performance vs Sevilla. Im not sure where you people live, but saying he is as good as Luiz is just wrong. They have same style, but efficiency and tactical awarness of Ramos is much better than Luiz. Every defender makes mistakes sometimes, you cant blame them they are bad if they made mistake. And what considers top 5 best cbs; Ramos, Pepe, Pique, Silva, Kompany at this moment (not in order).
Tricky 301
No chance... We have three very good CBs and cover with Iva. Why would we want splash serious cash on a transfer and pay his (no doubt) astronomical wages? Is his contract up for renewal at the moment? What we do need is an additional CM.Find it hard to believe that Essien couldn't have done a job for us. Hell Jose trusted him enough to start against City.

The Big Drog 1,110
For me, Ramos is the best centre back in the world. It took a while for him to fully hone his skills but last season, this Summer and this season he has proven himself to be absolutely top notch. Terrific reading of the game, a formidable 1 vs 1 defender, quick across the ground, lethal in the air, technically very talented, fearless and an inspirational leader, Ramos has it all. drog.ba 239
Don't rate him for the fee he would command, would rather have someone like Hummels if we are looking to spend big on a centre back
nadavTKL 1,787
Rate him very highly, became a very solid CB last season, but i dont think we'll have a go at him as it seems the club consider Luiz as the future CB, as long with Cahill. And of course Terry is still here. BUT, if we are in for a central back, Ramos is the type of defenders i would like in Chelsea.
Spike 12,049
Ramos' relationship with José has degraded further. Both are doing and saying some weird things lately. This is really strange:http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2914/champions-league/2012/10/02/3420341/mourinho-sergio-ramos-is-a-top-professional-but-i-get-on?source=breakingnewshttp://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/soccer-dirty-tackle/sergio-ramos-wore-mesut-%C3%B6zil-shirt-under-own-184415335--sow.htmlhttp://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/oct/02/real-madrid-jose-mourinho-sergio-ramos?newsfeed=true
KonohasOrangeFlash 2,607
Hmmm. Tough one. Sometimes he seems like a great defender. Other times...Well...I would probably welcome him. As a replacement for JT though? Probably not, at least for me. He could go the way of David Luiz. If we buy him, I could see him becoming even more rash and silly in his decision making. I just see a couple of better options. For me Hummels is top of the pile for CB's.
