KonohasOrangeFlash 2,607
This is gonna be a long ongoing. Whelan seems to think he is worth a lot more than 10 mil. He probably wants 20 or so.He probably wants Mata in exchange.
YuriZhirkov 106
We bought Cahill and Marin for £7m each with one year left on contract, why would we buy Moses for more??

BlueLion. 21,491
We bought Cahill and Marin for £7m each with one year left on contract, why would we buy Moses for more??Exactly. He's being unrealistic, especially since Cahill is a brilliant player and Marin has represented his country on the biggest stage. Who is Victor Moses? Someone who played for Crystal Palace not too long ago. He's good technically, but he needs to work on his decision making. We've got enough of that type of footballer, surely?! OneMoSalah 8,886
Seems this rumor has picked up again after Whelan coming out and saying we're still in talks for him. Personally if he plays like this for us I would love him. Maybe he should of scored when he went clean through and crossed it when he shot but still played class against them! Absolutely tore Sagna a new arsehole. Also in this video showing his goals his finishing and movement is very good for some of the goals. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSR53VXw-yo&feature=player_embedded
Superblue 6,372
A player like Moses is really difficult to predict just how well he would do at Chelsea. The number of young British players who have moved from being a big fish in a small pond to one of the big clubs in the modern era is vast but there seems to have been just as many failures as successes. For every Damien Duff or Joe Cole there is a Shaun Wright Phillips. The one thing I will say however about Victor Moses is if we get him for £6-8m (not counting bonuses, as bonuses will be worth paying in the future if they are an indicator of his success at the club) then it is not a very big risk. We would be able to command a similar fee in a couple of years if he hasn't developed as well as we would have liked.
Chelsea? 892
Would Moses mean no Hulk? If we get Moses then Danny must be on his way out soon.
ZanSnake 1,211
We need more English, currently we have only 8 in 28 players (according to Transfermarkt), and with the likes of Josh going on loan next season, and Ross Turnbull being third choice keeper, we really need to think about adding more for both the Home-grown restriction as well as trying to keep the ratio of foreign stars to home-soil players a little better, imo. LondonPride1905 236
^Isn't that about the Home-grown players rule. Because if it , Moses fits that bill. And Telegraph were reporting that we have bid 9m for him today. Dunno if it's correct.

Dunno if it's correct.they were saying on SSN yesterday that via blabbamouth Whelan we are currently at the £9m mark with about £6m of that cash upfront and the rest in add-ons. Whelan said last week he would accept £8m plus £2m in add ons.
Hutcho 8,443
Because moses played for the england under 19's etc, does he count as home grown....?
Duppy Conqueror 1,532
Because moses played for the england under 19's etc, does he count as home grown....?he counts as home grown on the basis that he has lived in England for more than 3 consecutive years since before his 18th birthday. the fact he has now played for the country of his birth Nigeria at senior level does not effect that. Lukaku will qualify as "homegrown" if he stays playing in England for another 2 years for example.
